Hi I am getting close to booking our feb 2013 vacation and have been playing around with prices but a bit stuck on what to do and would like people views on the Rooms/studios.

This is for 4 adults, myself hubby, Son (18), daughter (14). Daughter will sleep in with me and son in with hubby which we normally do.

The Cheapest is Disney POFQ with quick dining.

For £300 MORE (Compared to P0FQ) we can have a room at CBR, with quick dining.

For £310 MORE (Compared to POFQ) we can have a deluxe studio with the standard dining plan.

For £834 MORE (Compared to POFQ) we can have the standard room at Animal Kingdom Lodge with Standard Dining.

Any help would be great.

i can eliminate one of your choices..
there is absolutely no reason to pay an extra £300 to be at the CBR....

CBR is exactly like POFQ - so why would you pay an extra £300 to stay there???

so that leaves you with 3 choices instead of 4...

personally, i would stay at OKW with the regular dining plan ("For £310 MORE (Compared to POFQ) we can have a deluxe studio with the standard dining plan.")

Couldn't agree more. CBR is a nice resort but I wouldnt pay £300 more for it over PO.

I would stay at OKW/SSR with DDP :)

OK CBR Out of the running.

So deciding between OKW AND AKL With DDP now :)

Ive stayed at OKW before but in a villa and liked it, got a free upgrade but had Quick dining which was rubbish at OKW.

Ive always wanted to stay at Animal Kindom Lodge but worried about size of the standard room.

Best deal at OKW and AKL is to rent points from DVC owner. You can get the DDP as well. For adults OKW is the better deal given the size of the villas and set back atmosphere of the resort. Kids would enjoy AKL if you can get a Savannah view. Otherwise OKW would be my choice.

I think the best deal for OKW would be the 38% discount Disney UK are offering at the moment with free DDP, for AKL renting points may be a better deal though.

the room associated with the offer is probably a standard view, not a savanah view....

when we stayed at AKL we had a savanah view - i don't know if we would have liked it with a standard view..
standard view faces the parking lot....perhaps you'll be lucky and be upgraded to a nicer view, but there are no guarantees...

the AKL rooms are smallish...
the measurements as compared to OKW studios must be somewhere...
i found the measurements:

standard rooms at AKL are 344 square feet (some have 2 queens, some have 1 queen and a bunk bed)...

studios at OKW are 390 square feet and have two queen size beds

continuing the comparison -

the difference in price between OKW with dining and AKL with dining is: £524

AKL has a smaller room and presumably your view is going to be of a parking lot..

however, AKL is a true deluxe (OKW isn't no matter how it's defined by disney)...

you know when you enter the hotel that you're in a deluxe hotel..

for one thing, you're all in one building - though you can end up walking a very very long way to get to your room..

i could see myself paying £524 extra to stay there....
but keep in mind that the four of you will be a bit squished there..
and your view will probably be of a parking lot..

how much would it cost to have two rooms at POFQ?

The difference to upgrade the quick dining to standard dining is (assuming you're going for 14 days) about £640. Which to me means that the best value would be either of the quotes with standard dining. Providing you're interested in eating TS meals everyday rather than burgers & chips.

Like others have said, AK Lodge is good. But I would only want to stay there if I had the Savannah view which am sure you wouldn't get for such a price. So I would probably stay at OKW with standard dining, as I think that'll be the biggest room also.

I stayed at CSR last year & generally think it's a really good place. The Pepper Market is fantastic for a great breakfast for a QS credit in my opinion (we're planning on going back there several mornings when I am staying at OKW next year). But people rave about POFQ, so probably not worth the extra money to stay at CSR.

Ok all decided Okw with Ddp, thanks for all your help. All I need is for my ppi cheque to arrive so I can book :)
