My husband, 22 month old daughter (at time of travel), and myself will be vacationing at Disney in May. We have never stayed onsite and I am a little overwhelmed by all of the choices. I had my heart set on Beach Club but it is very expensive – as you all know, I’m sure! Because our daughter is so young – we are planning not to do many park days (if at all) and will be mainly enjoying the hotel…swimming, dining, playground, water activities, shopping, etc…I don’t mind paying extra to stay at BC if we will have a better time there but if we would have just as good of a time somewhere else – then that would work too. Does anyone have any suggestions?

First, take your daughter to the parks! We took our sons when they were both 18 months and we have it on video and they had a great time. Just go around your daughter's schedule as far as naptime, etc.

We have never stayed at the Beach Club...we shy away from the deluxes because of the expense. We stay at the CSR. However, I am sure you will be happy wherever you choose to stay. All the resorts have pools, etc., shopping (I'm not sure about playgrounds). You will have a good time no matter where you stay.

WL and AKL are two deluxe resorts that are a bit cheaper than the BC. Also the Swan and Dolphin sometimes offer good rates. CSR is a good moderate that offers deluxe amenities like a spa, salon, fitness center and full menu room service.
