Which Resort with In-Laws??

As you have described it here, what these people are doing is unfair. They can't play the "it doesn't matter to me card", since based on their SoG trip, it *does* matter to them. I see you with three options

1) Stress yourself out trying to guess what these people want and please them
2) Insist (or better yet, have your DH insist) that they pick and plan
3) Plan exactly the trip you want for yourself without consideration for the in-laws. If they have a great trip, fantastic. If not, is that really such a bad thing?

I definately agree that you need to get them to give you some imput. Baring that like everyone has said try to find out about favorite past vacations. There are resortws to suit just about every theme (mountains, tropical, beach, city). Have fun with it. I find it so sad to see how many people say to stay across the country. What a shame to have such a bad relationship with in-laws that you would even make that joke. I'm incredibly fortunate, that being said there is one person we have banned from Disney trips and that's my dad :teeth: he drives us all nuts there so on the years my mom goes we just bring her best friend instead of him and everyone is happy. :Pinkbounc

Hey,

Don't take all the jokes about in-laws with you too seriously. We are just kidding and can't really know how your relationship is. I would recommend trying to find out what kind of vacations they have enjoyed and try to go with that theming. I can't give specific recommendations because I am going in Jan for the first time in years. But try a nice themed Deluxe resort with Monorail. I would stick with separate rooms anyhow, because too much time together with anyone can get people a bit edgy.

Have fun!

Don't worry, I'm not taking any of the comments too seriously! :goodvibes It's funny, though, ya'll have said a lot of what I've been thinking ;) I won't stress out too much....I am, however, by nature, a planner and perfectionist so that might get me in trouble. Regardless, I'll be in DW :cloud9: so no complaints out of me! I do have a question about renting points??? That is something I've heard a lot about but have never done and wouldn't know where to start. Any info?? Oh, since my last post I've have found out some good news....my in-laws are only going to stay for 4 nights and we always stay 8 nights for our summer vacation so we will have 4 nights to ourselves! :Pinkbounc

I would narrow down your choices and then show them the videos of the resorts.

That is a really good idea. I think I'll do that. Thanks! :sunny:
