We went last summer and are now looking to going back next summer. We stayed at the AKL and it was fantastic! We would like a new experience and are thinking of the following places. Why would you choose one of these places over the others. $ is a factor. We can't go crazy.
Thanks, Yo

BC

WL

Por French Quarter

Por Riverside

Poly

Any place else you think, why?

Thanks again for your thoughts and comments.

I stayed at the WL in Feb for my honeymoon and the place is gorgeous. It was nice just to sit out on our balcony and relax. We had a wonderful view of the lake. We had a courtyard view room with the AP rate. This was the only way we could afford to stay there. It's a wonderful place. The only complaint I had was that the snack area, Roaring Forks did not have much of a selection. But I was used to the All Star food courts. Whispering Canyon is a wonderful place to eat lunch and dinner. Had an amazing time there.

Out of all those, I'd opt for either WL or Poly. WL is awesome, and has the boat to MK. Poly is also awesome, and in addition to the boat and the resort monorail, is walking distance to the TTC. But the Poly costs more than WL, and you mentioned $ is a factor.

If money is a factor but you want the amenities of a delux resort I'd add CSR to your list. It has everything the delux resorts have, fitness center, salon, large pool, pool lounge, the largest jacuzzi on property, a great table service restaurant as well as a much larger food court than any of the delux resorts. It's beautifully themed, and the cast members there are great. I really think you would love this place.

Thank you for your thoughts.
I've heard that the CSR is used alot for conventions and such and seems more like a business hotel.
Also how is the remodel at the Poly going to go? Will it still be going on?
We went by the BC or was it YC last summer and they were doing the painting and if we would have been staying there I would have been really bummed to see all that scafflolding. So the Poly has me worried now.
Will I think I'm in Yellowstone at Old Faithful Inn at WL? We went there for our honeymoon (16yrs) and then again 2 years ago.

Bob P I'll go through your link. Thanks for passing it on. I forgot about it from last year.

Thanks, YO

We stayed at AKL July 04, and LOVED it. This Aug. we will be staying at the BWI. We were thinking about WL but I've read a lot about it really needing to be refurbished(peeling wallpaper, dirt grout). We thought BWI would be a good fit for our family because we like to be active and around excitement on our vacations. Have a great time wherever you stay.

I would stay at AK but if you want a change how about Poly or BC - they are closest to great parks!

Mahala.

I'd say try WL if you liked AKL. Both resorts were designed by the same architect, so they share this gorgeous sense of homelike ambience with plenty of luxurious, thematic extras. The WL is close to MK so that is a bonus, since AKL is further out, and the price is in the same range as AKL...the two somewhat affordable deluxes. Splurging a bit more for WL or AKL is far worth it for theme and amenities over the savings of staying at a moderate, IMHO. At WL you can check out the horseback riding, have access to water activites and the Fort Wilderness Show, take a boat to MK and visit any of the monorail resorts for dining, see the electric water parade and the MK fireworks at night. The Poly is great but is much more expensive than the WL. I love the WLs pool area and the thematic touches around the resort, like the stream through the lobby and the wildflowers outdoors. It's lovely

All the resorts you have listed are unique and wonderful in their own way. However, you do have BC and Poly listed even though you noted that $ is a factor. I love WL but the hotel feel is similiar to AKL which you've already experienced so I would only stay here if you find that you can't afford the Poly or BC. My first choice would be BC - why you ask? Well it is located inbetween MGM and Epcot with the nightly entertainment complex at the Boardwalk. Not to mention that the hotel has the best pool on property and you have to get an icecream dessert from beaches and cream located in between the BC/YC. This is a wonderful area to hang out in, has a ton of great places to eat at and is convenient to 2 parks. My second choice is the Poly - why you ask? Monorail, MK, great beach and water activities and fun in general. There are wonderful restaurants around this area as well and is great if you intend on spending time at the beach, pool and MK.
