My husband and I are planning a trip without the child for our anniversary. Just adults!! We are planning for an October trip because our main goal is to thoroughly enjoy the food and wine festival. The big question - which resort??

Just two adults. No children.
Epcot will be our favored destination.

My first thought is Beach Club.

Input? I need to be SOLD on a resort!! :-) TIA

1st choice- Beach Club, based on being able to walk to Epcot to enjoy food and wine. Second choice would be Boardwalk and then Yacht Club for the same. Beach Club is my favorite from these 3 though:)

I think between those three any of them would be great choices. We personally prefer the atmosphere of boardwalk a bit more at night, but any of the three should be a great option for food and wine.

I agree with PP. BC (for proximity to EP), followed by BWI (close to EP) followed by YC. You may also want to look into Swan/Dolphin.

For F&W it's all about proximity to EP IMHO!

I love Beach Club! If money were no object, I would have stayed there more than twice by now. That said, I agree with PPs, any of the 3 Epcot resorts would be great.

BC is the closest to Epcot, just a lovely little stroll to the International Gateway. YC is closer to the boat dock for Epcot and DHS. Boardwalk has the nightlife - but it is also super-easy to stroll over there from BC, and so pretty to look at over the lagoon. I think there's some general feeling that BC is more "family" oriented and YC more "adult" (conventioners), Also - not sure anyone has mentioned, but a lot of BC rooms do not have a full balcony, where as YC rooms do, if that's a factor.

I love the whole Epcot resorts area, love the walk to Epcot and the boats to DHS (and Epcot). If the looks of the BC appeal to you (they do to me!), I think that's your answer.

No doubt Beach or Yacht Club!! You will get the most out of Food & Wine by staying there. I loved being able to stroll over to EPCOT for lunch before hanging by the pool whenever I wanted. I would definitely suggest getting park hoppers so you can pop into World Showcase for lunch or dinner.

Also the Beach Club rooms are beautiful! The entire EPCOT resort area is just awesome, you will be hooked!

Happy anniversary! Don't shy from Monorail resorts either. Polynesian can walk to the transportation and ticket center for quick monorail access to the front of EPCOT.

Beach Club for sure! Absolutely, no questions asked! The pool is like a water park, (Boardwalk has the creepy clown pool), it is just a bit closer to Epcot than Yacht Club as far as walking, and still very close to the Boardwalk for a stroll at night. We loved it there so much when we stayed. Such a peaceful hotel as well! I loved the Cape May buffet as a side note....

I'd do the Beach Club as well. The one thing I did not realize was how close it actually is to the Epcot International gateway. And how much nicer it is to enter that end of the park versus the main entrance. I'd also check on the price of the Swan and Dolphin. It really fluxuates. We got it for under 200 a night! And more adult friendly. If you could save a few hundred dollars per night, think of the extra wine and food you could afford!!!!

Yacht club is renovating so I would keep an eye on that via the Yacht Club thread here. If they look to be finishing up by Oct maybe consider Yacht Club. If renovations are still going I'd go BC. I wished so many times last trip I was there for Epcot F&W that I had actually stayed at an Epcot Resort- we were solely focused on F&W with one night for the MK Christmas party. (Don't know anything about BWI, I'm too creeped out by the slide lol, but I've seen reviews here on the DIS from people who love the atmosphere & access to the Boardwalk.)

I've stayed at BWI, but wouldn't hesitate to stay at BC or YC. All three are in great proximity to Epcot and DHS. You can also stroll leisurely through Epcot to monorail to the MK (yes it takes a lot more time than the busses, but you *don't* have to ride the busses!) We really enjoyed our adults only trip at BWI. BC's pool might be a little too kid for some adults-only. I personally like water slides and such.

On our trip to BWI in 2014, I felt that the club level pricing at BWI was better than BC/YC, and that was the final determination for us. Club level had standard views that looked at the boardwalk for little more than the garden view at BC/YC.

We are taking an adults only trip and we went with BWI. Yacht Club was our first choice but rumors were possibly it would be under renovation during our trip. We avoided BC because of the lack of balconies for the most part and I thought their would be more kids around because of the pool and Cape May.

I have only stayed at the Boardwalk and the Beach Club. That being said if it was just hubby and myself and we wanted to stay at an "Epcot" resort, I think I would go for Yacht Club! It seems quieter than the Beach Club. You can enjoy Stormalong Bay and then slip back to your quieter resort. You also have the ability to stroll over to Hollywood Studios or hang out in the Boardwalk area. My husband and I enjoyed a date night on the Boardwalk...dancing at Atlantic Dance Hall and watching the fireworks!

I also have a dream of staying at the Polynesian...so I wouldn't totally discount the monorail resorts. I hope to spend an anniversary trip there one day too!

Happy Planning!

Love the YC. I want the balcony I can sip my coffee on and am not a fan of the crowd in the BC lobby @ Cape May breakfast/dinner buffet times. But BC depending on room location can be very close to Epcot and if YC wasn't available I'd be ok w/ BC and hope for a normal sized balcony. BC/YC share SAB.
