Does anyone know if the room used in the current TV commercial (I'm in the Northeast market) featuring early entry and $55/night for Value Resort is a real Disney Resort room or a set? The room has a full wall mural of many Disney characters, Mickey included. If a Disney Resort room, which Resort?

I saw the ad last night. Noticed the exterior shots from some of the AllStars but didnt notice the interior shots. (I was folding laundry).

If I see it again, I'll check for you.

I've seen the commercial, and it doesn't look like any Disney room that I've seen (which are many of them). I'm wondering if they maybe did a room up specially for that commercial, because I don't think any guest rooms are decorated like that, unless it's a special suite or something. I noticed the lamp the little boy turned on is the lamp they use in the Grand Floridian rooms, but that doesn't look like a Grand Floridian room.

I prev posted a thread on this last week. Most people seem to think it's a set. I e-mailed Disney asking and they responded a big long blurb about codes, which I didn't even ask about. I just e-mailed them again clarifying my question. I'll post their reply.

i kinda thought the same. it looks like maybe a set up of a room with all the stuff. Then they open a door - like if they were at the hotel with connecting rooms- and the parents are ready to go. it seems to go so fast, its hard to tell. but i would bet its not a real room...............just my opinion.............

I think it's a set. DW and I paused and rewound it several times (using TiVo--we're suck geeks) and if you notice, you can see Cinderella Castle out the window. That OBVIOUSLY is superimposed, because it's not a Poly, GF, Contemporary, or WL room. The wall mural is unlike any room we've seen at Disney (as others have posted).
I thought the exterior shots were the PC? Maybe I'm wrong.

Just call CRO and ask them which room at the one of the value resorts features a view of Cinderella Castle out the window. :D

We have TiVo too. DS and I did the same thing, pausing, rewinding and slow-mo trying to figure out what resort it could be. We couldn't completely make out that it was Cinderella's Castle in view out the window but assumed that it must be. Given the view I could only guess that the room, if real, would be at CR.

At first, I thought as others have, maybe Disney redecorated a room in CR specifically for the TV spot. This seems extreme and expensive, unless Disney is in the process of redecorating all CR rooms. However, if this were the case the DISboards would know about it.

Unfortunately, I think I must side with those that believe the wonderfully decorated room featured in the TV spot is only a set. How disappointing to not have an opportunity to stay in that room, or one like it.

Maybe it was all in a dream. You know how us disneyaholics can be!:hyper: :hyper:

Oh, by the way I'm RSVPing. Yes we'll be there!

Ha! So funny that so many of us are wondering about that room! :) Good thing we have these boards to share our addiction.

The exterior really looked like PC, but I must agree that the interior is probably a set!
NO FAIR, MAN!
:jester:

I'm sitting here laughing to myself about the others out there with Tivo! I can't imagine life without my Tivo....especially when it comes to serious situations like this!
:D

I'm curious what Disney's response will be to the inquiries about this. It seems to be only fair to use real resort rooms for the commercials, though they must make it look appealing and marketable.
(But they only have to convince Disney newbies how awesome it is to stay onsite!)
:)

I know what you mean about TiVo. Now we don't miss any WDW shows/specials, such as Great Hotels which has episodes on WDW resorts. The one on the WL is my fav.

I too wondered about that room! It is so neat! Since we haven't stayed in any All Stars or POP rooms, I just figured that they were decorated that way.

OK - I, too, have Tivo & I think it's the CR - The sliding doors with a view of Cinderella's Castle are the giveaway - also the size of the rooms are just as big as the Tower rooms - I think they are going to do rooms up like this - I do not think Disney would ever show a room that would not be possible to book - they probably only have a few done & used them for commercial & will do more - this is just my opinion - I hope we find out for sure but can not imagine them showing such an adorable decor (the pixie dust all over wall!!) & it not being reality someday. Yes, they did show Value properties in commercial also but because they were giving price starting as low as etc If anyone still has it on "tape" - the huge sliding glass doors that lead to the Castle can not be mistaked - definitely CR.

It's their home. They show the kids room and then go back and forth showing Disneyworld. The parents are sitting on their beds ready to go just like the kids. I never even thought it was a Disney hotel. My 2 cents on this fun subject....and yes, I could NEVER live without my Tivo now that I have been introduced to Direct TV.

I think it's supposed to be their home, too. At first, I thought it was an ad for those new Disney-themed window blinds. LOL. I never noticed the castle out the window. Of course, not many people have connecting doors between their bedrooms.

I'm pretty sure it's a set. Even if it was modeled after an actual resort room, I think it would be a set.

glad i found this......we saw the commerical last night and DH said i should know what resort it was  ( from here) which is really not the case cause this is only my second time going to WDW and we have never seen any of the WDW hotels except S/D on our way in last year....but i will admit i did tell DH i was going to check here , cause if that WAS a real room at a value resort.....it was WAY WAY cool! and we might switch from CR! -
i hope we get an answer if it was in fact a set or a REAL room cause that was too awesome to miss if it's there!

Alright, I just saw the commercial again last night. It is a commercial advertising the value resorts, but the value resorts are no where near the Magic Kingdom. Not even the Deluxe resorts have THAT great of view of the castle. And neither Pop Century or the All Stars have decorated headboards like that. Now the first exterior shot is Pop Century, and then it flashes to the All Stars and some of the parks, but the rooms must be a set or a hotel at Disneyland CA/Paris/Tokyo... I just know that is not a room at a WDW resort.
Sorry to disappoint!
