Wondering which resort has the best pool. Thinking about booking a cabana/patio and I can book it all three. So which one has the nicest pool?

I like the Poly pool the best, but the GF cabanas are much nicer. The Poly ones not really cabanas--just shaded seating.

Poly pool is too busy. Contemporary pool is fine but nothing special. Shade is hard to come by. Very few chairs have umbrellas. I give the nod to the GF. You can also get waited on by the pool (food and drinks) which is nice. At the CR we had to go to the snack bar ourselves.

Gf cabanas are at the beach pool. The courtyard pool is currently closed. The beach pool has the slide. It is so nice to see the Seven Seas Lagoon from the pool.

Poly the patios are at the quiet pool aka Oasis pool/no slide. It does have a hot tub tho!

CR : checked a picture from above in 2018. 2 were at the bullet pool and it looked like one at the main pool too. There are 2 hot tubs at the main pool and the slide however the bullet pool is adjacent .

As long as people don’t have too young of kids the cabana location wouldn’t make too much difference since the area is really all one area. (Ish)

I’m one of the few that loves CR pool. Palm trees and lake right there? No crowds? Yes please!

Poly volcano pool however was a hit when kids in elementary school.

Gf courtyard pool is also a fav spot of mine however it’s currently closed. I like it because it’s quiet and pretty.

Beach pool now wouldn’t be too crowded until 9/21 when resort opens.

Price wise the poly patio is a great deal if that works for you.

CR has the most stuff with everything open.

However which one appeals to you?

Thanks!! This is fantastic.
I have never stayed at any of them.
I am not sure how I feel about riding the monorail back to CR with a wet bathing suit.
That being said I believe it would be great to check out new resorts and pools.
I think I would rent at Poly ( because its 80 per day )
Then maybe GF.
I will definitely be calling over the weekend to see if CR were added.
Thank you everyone for the info! 😁

We rented cabanas at both the GF and CR. I would recommend either one of them. The CR area was more shaded than the GF. You are closer to the pool at the GF (right where the beach entrance is) and at the CR you are closer to the building for boat rentals. We have also been to the pool at the Poly and it was fine, but we were there in the winter and most of our trip the big pool was closed. Only the quiet pool was open.

Funny I have stayed at all resorts except SSR. I love pool time! Have enjoyed them all.

WIth that said I have only done the poly patio. I did it going home day and we used it as a home. I wasnt worried about my carry on little bag. If someone needed my stuff that bad , go for it. It was a great way to end our trip. I even took a nap there in the shade.

However CR and GF are expensive. I also not good about sitting . I am IN THE POOL!!!!

Lol if I do decide to sit I plop in the pool or on the steps.

I do remember thinking that it would be nice to guarantee having access to the pool if they start getting crowded at this time. Maybe a cabana day is in my future????

We love the Poly, but the main (Volcano) pool gets crowded easily. Something about the layout makes it seem small. Prefer the Oasis pool. They also have a splash area for little ones by the main pool.

We've only stayed at the CR and Poly and used both pools. My thoughts are largely kid-centric since are our daughters were 4 and 6 (CR) and 7 and 9 (Poly) when we went. Generally speaking, we had a better time at the Poly pool. It got crowded but was still enjoyable. Our 7 year old enjoyed the "splash pad" area a lot. The Volcano Poly pool is not a "relaxing" pool, but it also didn't seem teeming with people. It was also nice to have the snack/drink bar pretty close and you can sit there and look out to the MK/lagoon. The Oasis pool was really nice for me. Actually one of the most memorable moments I had our last trip was just sitting in the Oasis hot tub, listening to the island music, watching the palm trees sway, with big fluffy clouds floating past. Our kids weren't too keen on the Oasis pool though.

The CR pools are on the "backside" of the resort, so you don't get to view MK or the lagoon while relaxing there. It has a pretty large waterslide. As others mentioned, its pretty functional, which to me is in keeping with the CR vibe overall. Functional with a little bit of theming. The pool is larger than the Poly's main pool and easier to avoid people if that's what you want to do.

I agree. My sole complaint with the Polynesian is the crowded pool situation. They are sorely in need of a 3rd pool.

CR may be the worst Deluxe pool on property. Although the view of the lake is nice.

Poly and GF both have great feature and "quiet" pools.
