Which resort for Jan 2024?

Planning a 5-night stay for Marathon Weekend 2024, renting DVC points. I'm working with an owner and have narrowed it down to SSR or Riviera, both in a standard studio. I know the rooms are super similar in layout. Cost difference will be about $400 extra to stay at Riviera. Worth it? Biggest perks I can think of for Riviera are access to the Skyliner and less walking at the resort itself (important when I'm going to be running lots of miles).

Are you working with an owner who already has Riviera booked?

Riviera is really nice and easier to get to parks and smaller footprint to get around.

That being said can that owner even book the rooms? Marathon goes quickly typically.

If you don't normally go to Disney I would do Riviera.

Marathon takes home resort. If the owner isn't booking in home resort, even Saratoga can be hard.

While we don't check availability here because it's so flexible, I will say that you don't have time to waste and your choice isn't really a choice at this point. You need to book whatever that owner has points for.
