We're staying at VWL for 6 nights next January but are able to go a day earlier now and we're not sure we'll be able to rent any more points for the first night. So we're thinking instead of trying out another resort for the first night. We've stayed at AKL and POFQ so want to try something different.

It will be DH, DD who will be 14 months and me. Any ideas? Have any of you stayed at the resorts for only one night?

Staying off-site that first night isn't an option as we want to use ME from the airport as we're not renting our car until we do our second week offsite.

Thanks!!

Hmm...

To be honest, I'd say try and get a room in the Wilderness Lodge to cut down on the "hassel" of moving! It would be a much smoother and easier transition in terms of checking in and out and handling luggage. Plus you wouldn't waste "too much" time on your first day trying to sort everything out. You'd wake up in the morning at the lodge... have one of you check into the villas while the other packs/organizes for the day... leave your bags with baggage claim... head to the park for the day... come back once your villa is ready... and then ask baggage to bring your bags up. So much smoother!

With a 14mo... I love going with convienence...

I am in the same situation for one night only too. We are flying in one day before our BCV was rented and I don't think I can rent any more points either. We are thinking of staying at POP or maybe ASMu. I am not looking forward to changing resort but I have read that it isn't too hard. Our flight comes in around 3ish on the anyway so I don't think we would be doing a theme park that day anyway. It was just too expensive to book our flight on the 14th.

I hope it will be easy....

I've stayed at Pop for one night before moving on to another resort. Wasn't bad at all! :thumbsup2

Yes, that does make sense staying at the WL...I had been toying with booking into the Beach Club or Polynesian for the one night just to check out a new resort but it may be too much hassle. We are usually up the first day we arrive at 5am as we're still on British time and i'm sure our DD will be up that early if not earlier :scared1: :lmao:

Thanks for your helpful advice! :thumbsup2

We are arriving one day early next month prior to our BCV stay, so we are going to ASMusic for one night, then moving over. Points are much more expensive for weekend nights, so we are just renting Sunday - Friday. It really just depends on how much you want to spend for one night.
