Son, wife and daughters, 2, 4 and 6 yearss old are plannin a trip to WDW in 2018.

Which DVC MK resort has the easiest transfertation?

All three resorts are on the monorail line, all have boat access to MK, and BLT is within walking distance of MK.

That said, at BLT they would need a 1BR; with a 2-year-old, they could get a studio, but the BLT studio with the sofa bed out and a pack and play is ridiculously tight and no fun. At VGF and Poly, the studios are bigger and do sleep 5 natively; one child could use a murphy bed.

So depending on the points they have to spend, even though VGF and Poly are more expensive studios, they're bigger studios. BLT really demands a leap to a 1BR. On the other hand, if they have the points to spend, the 1BR is really nice and I always advocate for a door between parents and kids as a divine luxury.

Are you renting, BLT will be significantly cheaper than the other 2 on the monorail. I also wouldn't rule out WL but it does lose the monorail and walking option. Truthfully none on property are an issue but with those ages, I'd do BLT if you plan a lot of MK park time.

Can't beat walking to MK . With young kids you tend to want to spend more time at MK . So being able to walk there is great perk of BLT

BLT because you can walk to MK and return via monorail when you are tired. BLT is the first stop for the Resort monorail when leaving MK. But if you take the monorail to MK, you stop at the TTC and the other two resorts before getting to MK, much faster to walk.

They will use my points. May be a 4 or 5 night stay. They will travel sometime from late January early May.
I have stayed at all DVC except BLT. I took a tour of it when it was first built and did not care for it. Could have been the other 20 people crowded into the room at once that took the appeal away. Walking distance to MK would be a plus.

Widerness Lodge would be great but I remember the buses being an issue.

Best would be VGF but it can be hard to get at 7 months. Poly is also nice.

We have 50 points at VGF (never stayed there) and Poly. That is not really enough for more than a couple days. So we will likely have to take which ever is available at 7 months out.

I just want to echo the BLT recommendations - at those ages, they will be wrestling at least two kids in strollers. Loading up the strollers in our room with all the "kid stuff" and not having to empty/fold for transportation, just go down the elevator and walk over...it was priceless.

It was also very easy to go back for breaks and naps, and very easy to handle the evening fireworks exit rush.

Our kids (1 and 4) loved the pool area and views. So it's definitely my recommendation! They will appreciate how easy it makes things.
