Which Residence Inn?

I have been looking around for a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and the Residence Inn seems to be one of my best options. Which Residence Inn - Anaheim Maingate or the Convention Centre would you recommend?

The price is basically the same between the two, except you have to pay for parking at the Convention Centre location. Are there any more pros or cons to either location? Both look to be a similar walking distance to Disney.

I prefer the Maingate. The buildings are set apart as opposed to a high rise, and the pool/recreation is more private. The other one is in pretty close proximity to some other hotels. The Maingate is also close to GardenWalk where they have more dining options.

The RI by the convention center is brand new - the rooms are super modern, and have more space. Maingate does the job but especially comparatively it feels old and musty. the bathrooms are WAY smaller. Some rooms will be on the second floor of each "condo" which means lugging your crap up and down the stairs (we have 3 little kids so it's 2 of us doing the work for 5 people. ha.) Breakfast is the same at each. Walking seems about the same, RI convention might even be a tad shorter b/c you're not crossing Harbor. Closer to Downtown Disney if you walk up the other way. For us, it would have to be a very significant difference in price to choose Maingate.

We haven't stayed at the RI Convention Center yet, but the staff at the Maingate is super friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the feedback! Doesn't make my decision any easier, pros and cons to each location it seems!

At the RI Convention Centre has anyone stayed in the bunk bed suite? Looks to be a good option, but would love to hear some first hand advice.
