Which rainforest cafe

We've been to both, usually AK during the day and DTD in the evening. It depends when you will be visiting but I find both venues pretty much the same.
I think I prefer DTD as at night it looks fantastic with the bubbling volcano.
We don't tend to visit here anymore as prefer to use the TC elsewhere now as we find the food average compared to elsewhere on site.

Thank you I thought the experience for kids would be good anywhere else you recommend?

I prefer the DTD location.

The food does get mixed reviews though. On our last trip, they served us one of the nicest steaks I've ever had - but other people say the food is hit and miss.

I've been around 15 times and I've never had a bad meal there and DH and I are both good cooks so we are usually hyper critical about food!

busy, very noisy, rushed and overrated.

If I had to (like someone paid me to eat there) I'd probably go to DTD for the volcano, but I certainly wouldn't spend a TS credit there as this DISer will invariably end up ordering a $15 burger and nothing else as it's so noisy that I can't concentrate on the menu and end up ordering the easiest thing, usually showing the waiter the picture on the menu as it's impossible to order without shouting at the top of your lungs.
Food is so-so at best.

2 absolutely catastrophic experiences at both DTD and DAK last october probably have biased my judgement a wee bit.

w'eve done both locations, both are good, I prefer AK one as it didn't seem so manic. Also had great food, have a look at the menu to see if it suits you, we go back mainly because of a particular wrap that DD and I both love. Also like the fact that they let you 'pool' 3 dessert credits to get the special volcano dessert - plenty for 3 people.

If you think the your kids will enjoy it, then go for, it's not fine dining, but it's fun:goodvibes

Fully agree - 100%

Went to the AK location last year. Kids loved it and still go on about the volcano. We really enjoyed it.
