As the title say we would like to stay in a moderate next year and we stayed in Caribbean Beach last year.

I have a (will be) DD12 and DS10 who both loved CBR.

Which would you recommend?

Many thanks :thumbsup2

We loved Riverside. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou side, building 18 (close to the main hall, swimming pool and parking). The landscaping, the design, the whole feel of the place, is just so lovely and relaxing. We have no doubt we'll stay here again. (we stayed at the Yacht Club recently and although the location of it is better, we preferred staying at POR).

We did venture over to the French Quarter for the yummy beignets. I can see the appeal with it being a smaller resort. But to us, we liked Riverside better. The foodcourt for example at Riverside is way better.

Even though Riverside is a really big resort, the landscaping is so well done that it never felt busy our crowed.

French quarter is lovely but with the age of your kids I would say Riverside may be better because of the larger pool.

We stayed at Riverside last summer and it was great. Our room was A B block 14 nearly next to food court, reception etc, and close to the carpark. It's a lovely quiet resort with the river flowing through the middle.

hi
we have stayed at riverside(DL) a number of times only stopped after joining DVC, even now the scent of woodland in this country evoke memories of early morning walk to foodcourt for our coffee

We stayed at Riverside in the Mansions and loved it. Nice laid back feel about the place. Didn't go to FQ though so can't comment on that. We weren't there with kids though but I can't see what they wouldn't like about it.

Jealous!! We're going to POP this year because it was the only way to convince hubby that a trip to Florida was within our not really existant budget - lol!! (just recovering financially from having a year off on Maternity leave - caused by our trip to Port Orleans I might add lol!)

Thanks for this thread I had the same dilemma myself staying onsight for first time next year just booked POR Riverside it looks great. :) I can see myself enjoying a few nice walks around the place.

another vote for riverside

love my morning walk around the resort waiting for eveyone else to wake up

I am really looking forward to trying Riverside next month as it is beautiful. However if there had been availability we woudl have returned to FQ - we loved it. Beautiful, compact, clean, friendly staff (all of which I'm sure will apply to Riverside!) and I liked the look of the buildings better. But not much in it and you can use facilities at both :thumbsup2!

so glad you all recommend riverside as we have booked there for next year, it will be my parents' first time in Florida & i want it to be really special for them as it will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime holiday for them :cool1:

Riverside is amazing. It's so beautiful, great fun night entertainment and it doesn't have scary faces in their food court like French Quarter does!
