which plan is better?

We had to cancel our Dec 9-18 trip due to illness. Do you think it is better to head down for eight night at the end of January and then for a week in March (previously planned) or to add a week to the March trip and just head down the one time?

Need a little more information. How far do you have to travel? Do you drive or fly? Will your points be in holding? Is there even availabilty at the end of January?

I would always vote for the extra trip. It's what I would do.

My thought exactly, unless the hassle to travel and/or get the time off of work dictates otherwise. I know at my office, taking one extended vacation would be more well-received than two vacations in quick succession, even if the amount of time is the same. totally depends upon your situation, though.

We were just faced with the same decision. We could visit for a week at Spring Break in April, and then another week the 1st of June, or a two week trip the end of May/1st of June.

We decided on the 2 week trip. When I actually started thinking about getting home from Disney in April, and then going back 6 weeks later for another trip, we decided on the longer trip.

It will be easier for DH to take only 1 longer vacation instead of 2 shorter trips so close together. We will also only have to pay for transportation costs once, and figure out where our dog will stay once.

I also happen to enjoy longer trips - we can vacation at a slower pace. We purchased the DVC PAP's this year, so we can enjoy the water parks in the summer.
