Which Parks on the Weekend? Lots of questions!

I will be in Orlando with my 4yo the evening of 2/6 through late afternoon on 2/13. The first two days will be Sat/Sun and I'm trying to decide what parks to go through on those days. We will spend a couple of days at Universal, but plan to do that during the week so it will be less crowded.

I was thinking of Animal Kingdom for Sunday. Any idea how crowded it would probably be? We would get there by opening time.

What park should I do on Saturday? I would do the early opening at MGM, but I don't want to freak him out and bring him on Tower of Terror for his first ride. He then wouldn't want to ride anything else the entire visit. If I wait until another day for MGM I can see how Jake is doing on other rides and then decide about ToT.

I could do Animal Kingdom on Saturday and another park on Sunday. How bad is MK for early opening on Sundays?

Or I could do Epcot on Saturday morning. I don't know that he will be too interested in Epcot, however.

Any thoughts?

IMO I think that MK is crowded on Sundays & Mondays. I think a lot of people arrive on the weekend & then choose MK as their first park. That's just my thought though!

Also, don't count EPCOT out. There are things I'm sure your son would be interested in. Every kid wants to ride "the big golf ball". There is also Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Ellen's Energy Adventure - this is great if he likes dinosaurs. There is also Body Wars & Innoventions has many things for all ages.

Have a great time when you're there! :D

Even as a DR guest, I avoid early open days like the plague. In my experience, the early open day park is packed with people and it's just not worth it. Although, since you'll be there in Feb, I'm not sure you'll see much in the way of crowds whereever you go.

As an aside, I took my DD4 last year for the first time and her favorite parks by far were MK and AK in that order. Allow LOTS of time for Fantasyland.

Enjoy!!

I think Jake would also like Test Track. The last time we were at Epcot (2 1/2 years ago) I told my then 7yo that the big golf ball was actually a roller coaster that went upside down. I had him believing it until he remembered that he should never believe anything that I say. lol

I'll plan on saving MK for a weekday. That park always seems to be crowded, even when I've been in late January and the other parks have been dead.

So how about Saturday and Sunday? AK and then Epcot? Or AK and then over to Universal for one of my days? Trying to figure out how busy Universal will be since I won't have the front-of-the-line.
