Which parks for young children?

We have two children ages 2 & 4 and two days to spend at the parks. Originally we were planning two days at the Magic Kingdom but are now thinking of going to two different parks. This will be our first trip, what do the veterans recommend for young kids?

By the way, we are not staying on the grounds because we have free use of a house nearby.

Plus any other must do's in the area for young kids?

I would say MK and AK - if your kids love animals as much as DS does! If not, stick with two days at MK - there is PLENTY to do!!!

I would say our 2 favorite out of the 4 is MGM - Playhouse disney - did 3 times, Little mermaid, Beauty and beast, JOJO and Golaith Character meet, Mickey mouse meets,etc and of course Magic Kingdom - Winnie the pooh
Race track - Toon town - Jungle cruise - Possible Its a small world if open by the time you go - Country Bears - Get their hair cut at barber shop and get 'green hair' - Main street dancers. - our favorite spot for parades is the train station but need to be there 2 hours before so usually snack time - or supper time then.

Our son just turned 3 years old in December and this is his 3rd winter at Disney. --- Bring a small book light for dark areas that might be frightening but all the above are great things for that age. My son even likes Pirates at Carribbean except first part is a little dark.

My 2 year old liked AK and MGM the best. He was really into the characters, and was able to see so many characters without standing in lines there. The line to see Mickey in MK was nuts - we were behind only one family at MGM. He also really liked the shows; the rides were often too short for him, I think!
