Which park's best on Friday & Saturday?

Hi,
We are going to Orlando April 8th & 9th, a Friday and a Saturday. I am acting as sort of a tour guide :) for some members of my family. They arrive Thursday, April 7th for half a day. I thought we'd hit Epcot or something Thursday (our 1/2 day) since it stays open long enough to see a good bit (help me here if you have a better suggestion for a 1/2 day visit).
The thing I'm wanting them to see the most is Universal and IOA. So, I thought we'd do Islands on Friday and the Studios on Saturday. Does this sound like the best solution with just a couple of days to play with. I have never been to IOA on Friday or Saturday, but I thought crowds would be lighter to arrange it this way.
Any suggestions? Thanks for your help...and, I love these forums!!!

I'd go to USF for the half day on Thursday. I wouldn't worry about Epcot unless you and them really want to see it. They'll be tired after traveling. You can get your tickets, and see a few of the shows and attractions that hold a lot of people at USF. I don't think the park will be crowded on Thursday. Then on Friday, you can get to IOA early to beat the crowds. Saturday, you show up early and do favorites and things you missed.

Stay onsite at Universal then you'll get FOTL and it won't matter if it is crowded or not! :goodvibes

What time will you be at the park on your arrival day? What is a 1/2 day? From noon or from 4PM or so?

But maybe IOA has a discount if you go after a certain time?

Thanks for the replies.
Actually, my sister and her husband will get into town around 1:00 p.m. Also, they had a discount online where if you bought 2 days worth you got 3 extra days free. I have an annual pass, but they don't. We could, however, stretch it out to where we are at Universal for 2 1/2 days. The thing is, though, they really wanted to work Epcot in if possible, but Universal and Islands are a must.
