Which Park?!

I'm looking for a little feedback.

Friends of ours are going to either Universal Studios park or Islands of Adventure park (only one) in the next week.

My DH and I have never been to either (we can't seem to tear ourselves away from Disney!) so we are not much help. We sent them some links to websites but they are still stumped as to which to go to.

Any advice on which of the two parks they should go to is greatly appreciated!

Family specs: fearless girl, 4 y/o, 49"; boy, 14 y/o; mom/dad 40ish
no idea on character interest, friend only said she wants to make the most of rides for both kids.

Both parks are great fun but IOA is much themed than the Studios. There lots of rides for all ages ranging from Seuss Landing to Dueling Dragons and Hulk. Check out the daily photo thread to see what IOA looks like.

IOA is usually more fun for the kids. There is more there they can relate to.
