I am wondering who can help me I remember reading on the boards in the past that there are certain days that are slower than others at certain parks i.e. Magic Kingdom is best on Monday crowds are lowest? Does anyone know what days are best to go to what parks....I know the weekends are busiest but just curious. We are traveling at the end of September!!! Thanks!!!

I have subscribed to the tourguidemike.com website for all of my trips and it provides you with amazing tips of how not wait in the long hot lines, plus best days to go to different parks and TONS of other useful info and it is updated DAILY unlike the guidebooks. We used it last year (and are again for this trip) and we never waited more than 10 minutes in line even though some rides had 90min wait times posted. I am not allowed to get into more details as per the user agreement but I think it was the best $20 I spent. The website is a little overwhelming at first but you have plenty of time to use it. I found out about it a month before our trip last Aug and it was well worth the time I put into it.

Happy Planning!! :wave2:

www.touringplans.com has a crowd calendar. This is the website for the Unofficial Guide book.

Click here for the direct link to the crowd calendar and an explanation of how to use it. The crowd calendar and some basic touring plans are free.

I used this to plan our July 19- 26 trip and it was great! I do recommend avoiding parks on EMH days. I ignored the book and website's advice we went to the MK on an early EMH day and it was so crowded we just decided to leave. We did use the touring plans from the book and they worked very, very well. I think the longest we ever had to wait in line was 20 minutes and that was due to some teenagers trying to get out of the boat on SM and temporarily shutting down the ride.

We used the Unofficial Guide and actually changed some of our park plans based on their recommendations to avoid the parks with EMH. It worked well for us in May. I would have to say that none of the parks was overwhelmingly crowded when we went, the most we seemed to wait for a ride was 15-20min but most waits were shorter than that. We had definite plans for what we wanted to do/see each day that weren't too jam-packed and were based on UG suggestions and had a great trip. The only problems we encountered were seeing all the shows on our list at MGM - they seem to overlap each other or one would end right as another was starting but they were far apart. So, we just had to pick the ones we wanted to see the most.

Could someone please clarify the tourplans.com for me? We're going when most days are at a "4". Am I correct in that the three major rides listed will have the wait time of 35-44 minutes, but other rides will likely be less of a wait time than that?

I think 35-44 minutes wait time for the major attractions. For MK, wait time for three headliner attractions (space mountain, splash mountain, and BTMR). The crowd level is a worst case scenario, predicting the longest wait at any of these attractions on a particular day.

A 4? Holy Pete, I wish I could go when crowds are at a 4! This summer they were at 8s and 9s, but still we waited 10 minutes or less for any attraction (one exception--Pirates. No fastpasses+3 Jack Sparrows=waiting 20+minutes).
We used a combination of Tour Guide Mike and Unofficial Guide.
Life is too short to wait in line more than 30 minutes.
I do recommend using EMH morning IF you can arrive at the park before it opens. You will accomplish A LOT. (Be sure to sleep in the next day!) :sunny:

I know they listed 4s for September; however, during our Sept 2004 trip, we hardly waited more than 10 minutes for headliners. Maybe free DDP increases these numbers.

I appreciate all the help! I am looking at the free touringplan now! ALittle confusing BUT I will figure it out. We are there from September 24th-September 30th. Here is my schedule as I have it now....of course if anyone sees issues according to touringplan I would appreciate it.

Sunday = Magic Kingdom
Monday = Epcot
Tuesday = Animal Kingdom/Downtown Disney
Wednesday = MGM
Thursday = Magic Kingdom/MGM
Friday = Epcot

All of my plans include to take off the afternoons to go back to the hotel pool and relax. Thanks for your help!
