DH and I are planning a trip to Vegas for a few days with some friends. We would then like to hop over to Disneyland. We have never been there. We visit WDW almost every year so are very familiar with those parks. We are thinking of flying in on Thurs and then staying friday & saturday and leaving Sunday to come home. So we would have 1 full day at each park. Which park would you spend Thurs afternoon-evening at? We love everything Disney. I know it is not a lot of time but since we are out west we thought we would do it. It would be just the two of us.

Thanks.

Have you thought about park hopping? It would leave your options open, it's so easy to hop out here in DL! DCA often closes an hour or two before DL, but we love evenings in DCA so we hit up DCA for dining and the beautiful atmosphere on Buena Vista street then head over to DL for rides later at night. I find the dining in DCA to more adult-atmosphere, and I love just settling in for a while with a cocktail at Carthay Lounge or glass of wine at the wine terrace and soaking it all in- something you can't do in dry DL!

If you aren't considering park hoppers I vote DL because there is simply more there.

I vote for the park hoppers also! Then you aren't tied to a schedule and if you arrive at DL on Thursday and everything is busy, you can hit DCA for a while. If you have never had a chance to explore it, it will be all new and pretty fun. Then, when they close at 10, you can hop back to DL and finish the night there. The park hoppers are always worth it for us, mostly for the chance to enjoy a cold beer or cocktail in between some rides! They'll be beneficial for your other days, too, and if you have enough energy, you can collect FP'S for both parks, like for Radiator Springs Racers and Space Mountain!

Have fun planning!

Park hoppers for sure. The parks are soo close together. We go back and forth several times a day. But if you can't do that, DL. Way more to do.

it's difficult for me to fly all the way to vegas without wanting to detour on way back home to visit DL lol

lots of early flights out of LAS into SNA on SWA that could allow you a near-full day your 1st day.
