Which park ticket should I buy?

Here's the deal....for our trip in May, we will want to be able to go from park to park whenever we like. Some days we will be visiting more than one park. We will also be doing one day at a water park. We also like to spend a couple of evenings at Pleasure Island. We are going for 7 nights/8 days, but the last day will be an early check out to head home. Right now we have the UPH pass, but I'm wandering if we would be better off with the 7 day park hopper plus passes. What does everyone think?

With your plan, the 7 day park hopper plus would accomplish the same thing as the UPH and would be cheaper. The UPH would be the better deal if, and only if, you also intend to do Disney Quest, which the UPH includes but the hopper plus does not. Also, if you happen not to use a park day or a "plus' on the 7 day hopper during this trip, it can be used the next one. What you want to make sure you do with the 7 day hopper is to buy in advance if you can (at Disney Store or by just calling Disney's main line) as it costs less if purchased in advance rather than when you arrive.

Do think you may be returning in the future? If so, I would go with 7 day PH plus. We don't do Pleasure Island, so the pluses included would be fine with us. I also have a day of just a water park, so if I'm going for 8 days/7 nights this is what I do....arrival day, no parks. Same for departure day. One day at water parks. This way I can get a 5 day hopper plus. I actually have 1 day and 2 plus visits left on my last hopper pass. That's why I ask if you'll be going again. You can use some days now and save a day, maybe two for the next visit. The UPH expires the day you leave.

Were not sure when, but we will be going back. However, we will be arriving at our resort around 12:00, so we are planning on going to a park the first day, but not the last. We will probably use up all 7 seven days, but may not use all the plusses. I'll have to do a price comparison now that the new codes are out. There is one that includes the UPH pass, but I don't know how that compares to room only + 7 day park hopper plus pass.

Actually, mickeysaver, the discount I got on my DreamMaker package makes it cheaper than room only + (2) 10 day World passes. Thanks for the advise though.
