I am starting to plan my December trip. For those of you with experience which parks do you recommend on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the Day after. We will be in WDW from Dec 22 - 29 (when we depart for our 4 day cruise). We are staying at the Beach Club.

My rough plan is:
Epoct Dec 22 (partial day)
MK - Dec 23
Epcot Dec 24
MGM - Dec 25
AK - Dec 26
MK - Dec 27
DTD, Misc (DH has RPDE) - Dec 28

But I am looking for ideas and suggestions. I know to expect very large crowds. We were in WDW from Dec 26 - 31 in 2001. We have visited twice the week before Easter. I can't wait for the Christmas decorations again. There will be 3 of us - myself, DH and DD who is 10.

We were there last year during Christmas week and the weather 12/24-12/26 was COLD (we were in coats and mittens for Candlelight Processional on 12/26)...we didn't plan to do MK on 12/25, as we had heard the horror stories of crowds, etc and instead planned to do AK. We did go to AK first (as I recall anyway), but soon learned from DD who was working at HM in the morning, that NO ONE was at MK (No one was at AK either for that matter), so we quickly went there, too. That said, by 12/27, the crowds in all the parks were awful and MK closed during the middle of that day. Once the weather broke and got warmer, the people returned. We were in MK the day they shut down admissions for a few hours and you literally could not move. We quickly escaped to Epcot for a while.
My point is, your plan looks good to me, but if last year is any indication, you may want to hope for cold temps, as it certainly kept the crowds way, way down.....a nice surprise for us.

I would go to MK early then jump on Monorail and go to Epcot.Chistmas eve I would go to MGM and day after which is Monday I would go AK in AM and Epcot PM.I base this on our trips this time of year in 1997 and 2002.Things could've changed so I hope others will give you some more recent advice.Going this Dec 4th - 12th, you have a magical trip you are visiting at the most special time of year in my opinion. :goodvibes :wave2: ::yes::

We did Christmas Eve at MK 2 years ago. It was great. Not crowded at all. We watched the parade with hardly anyone around--we were not by the castle area. Of course the place changed overnight to a mad house on Christmas Day. We just avoided the parks after the 25th. We did go to MGM one day, and it wasn't too bad. We were glad we had pretty much seen everything we wanted to before the 25th. The horror stories from people about early closing of parks and crowds made us decided that never again would we go after the 25th to the parks.
