Which park is best for no FP+ reservations?

I'm planning a trip for my family & my sister's family in Feb. They have a Stay, Play & Dine package booked, but added a room only one day earlier. If I'm understanding correctly, they won't be able to make FP for that first day? We will fly in to MCO at 11:30am & want to go to a park that afternoon/night. What is the best plan when having no FP?

If they have a room only reservation, then they wouldn't have a park ticket so they wouldnt be able to even go to a park. What am I missing?

They'll be able to book FPs when they activate their tickets at a Ticket Window as soon as they arrive.

That's the drawback with tickets in a package. AK is good for last minute FPs.

I've done all of them with no FPs. It just depends on what rides you want to ride and what your line waiting tolerance is. You might not be able to do SDMT or FEA unless you are there at the front of the line at rope drop but all the other rides are doable.

They have enough tickets to go to a park that day. It's my understanding that they can use their tickets at any time, even though they are technically attached to that resort package. At least that's what I was told.

Thanks! I really didn't think of starting with AK, but good idea. My orginal thought was Epcot or HS because we are staying at Boardwalk...but those may be the worst 2 without FP.

Have them go to a ticket window and ask to have their package tickets activated. They should have their confirmation # or just give them their MB to check data.

Book FPs as soon as the tickets are activated.

Ok thanks! I definitely think my best options are MK or AK. We don't mind waiting in line for some things. But, this is their first Disney trip & I think I'm trying to over-plan. Lol.

Arriving at that time, we would head to MK, grab some hotdogs, & take in Main St/the castle while staking out a spot for the 3:00 parade. On all other days we're taking afternoon naps, so we miss it:)

I think AK is the easiest. Only KS and EE should have lines in Feb and you can hit them both in the first hour.
