Which Disney Park has a vamped up Fireworks display for the 4th of July? Or do none of the parks do anything different, just same old fireworks on a daily basis?

The last time we went on 4th of July there were special fireworks at MK, DHS, and Epcot (lol, is there an abbr. for that?). We went to the DHS fireworks (which are able to seen from the main street) and then ran over to Epcot (nice fireworks, bad idea. We were all pooped!). We've also seen the MK fireworks and they are just an extension to the Wishes program (Epcot works the same way). All three are nice, you just have to choose which one you want to see most.

Normally on July 3 they have the July 4 fireworks (tested) at MK, so if you go to MK on the 3rd you will see the special fireworks and then go to Epcot or DHS.

According to the internal schedule

MK - Sunday and Monday - Special fireworks 9:00.

EC - Sunday - IllumiNations 9:00, Monday - IllumiNations 10:00

DHS - Monday - Fireworks 9:45

I agree, July 3 MK will be having the special Concert in the Sky fireworks and then again on the 4th. DHS is having special fireworks at 9:50 on the 4th only. We are going to MK on the 3rd ( my b-day) and then do DHS on the 4th. We did Epcot years ago on the 4th and firewords were memorable. Thought we would try DHS this year:dance3:

yes it is hot, but that is why we bought int DVC so we can stay onsite and when the heat gets to us head back to the room for a little R and R. Plus we've lived in Fliruda for over 30 years and can handle some heat!

I've seen the 4th of july fireworks at MK twice and I don't recall them being an extension of normal wishes. If I recall correctly, it's an entire show set to patriotic music. IMO they are way better than EPCOT's (EPCOT wins NYE though)

I recommend MK on July 3rd and EPCOT on July 4 then you get to see both!

We are heading down in two weeks for our anniversary and this will be our first time down there for July 4th. We didn't know Epcot is having fireworks but we will be watching the Special Fireworks at MK from the Grand Floridian. MK maybe overly crowded because of the fireworks (previous experience) display, another good place to watch MK's Special Fireworks is on the ferry from Fort Wilderness Lodge to MK. ;)

We do this also, but we just book a resort room on property.:happytv:

We saw the MK 4th of July fireworks two years ago and they were breathtaking. We did gather on main street about an hour before they started but, like most things at WDW, they were well worth the wait :)
