Which park first?

We have kids going with us ranging from 15 - 6 yrs old...we have one day at each park, and possibly might return for the 3rd day if we want to do something again.

The days of the week we are planning are Sunday and Tuesday in early December.

So my question - do IOA or US first? I figure it's probably a toss up but all but 2 of us have been to US before, none have been to IOA.

Any suggestions?

Well, I would suggest going to Universal Studios first. It has a wide range of attractions that the kids will like. Most of the rides allow any type of age group to ride. Plus, some of the can't miss attractions are satisfying for everyone.

Islands of Adventure is a little more aimed toward the Pre-teens and up. It's got thrill rides, such as The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dueling Dragons, that was specifically made for teens. They've also got Spider-Man, which is always a fan favorite. Little kids can enjoy themselves at Islands of Adventure too, with Suess Landing and Jurrassic Park. There's also alot of water rides, so if the kids like getting wet, they'll enjoy yourselves here.

But other then that, it really decides on them. Try asking them which park they want to go to first.

We are going to Universal first because there are a lot of attractions at IoA that we'll be skipping; therefore, we plan to be done with IoA early and will "hop" back to US.

Depends, if you get to the parks early choose the park where you msu get on certain rides, if you HAVE to do Hulk, Spidey etc then go for IOA first, if you want to ride Shrek, The Mummmy etc do US first.

:welcome: :disrocks: We have been going for years and always hit the Studios first. Why? MIB!

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

For us, we get through IOA a little quicker than USO, so if we're short on time on any given day, we'll do IOA.

Weather is also a factor. I find USO to be a better "rainy day" park.

Food, too. The fish & chips at Finnegan's is a must-do for us at USO, as is one of the salads over at Confisco's at IOA. If we know ahead we'll want a big heavy lunch, we'll do USO. If we're eating a big breakfast and doubt we'll be famished by lunch, we'll do IOA.

To muddy the waters even further, in early December, the parks are really empty; we've been able to do both parks in one day at that time :)

Hope y'all have a fantastic time!

It doesn't reallly matter if you have several days, but IOA is my favorite and I always hit IOA first and last.
