Just curious, since the usual advice is to go to IOA and do HP land first, but the newest attraction with potentially longer lines is in Universal Studios. On our trip last Dec, IOA at rope drop worked great, though the crowds were incredibly low overall. What do you do first, and why?

My family have 2 days in the parks with hoppers, though the friends we are travelling with will only have a single day hopper to see and as much as possible. DS is almost 48", just needs some platform shoes for that 1/4", so we will be able to go on most of the rides if that makes a difference for those with kids v adult travellers.

We do Universal studios first. It is our favorite of the 2 parks ( and we are huge Harry Potter fans)

We usually go to IOA first day for Dr Doom, Hulk and all the other fun rides........but we are not huge Potter fans.....we do like the area, but it's not a priority for us.

We go to IOA first to see Harry Potter and Spidey and then we usually head to the Studios. We always have park to park so going back and forth is not unusual for us.

IOA. When we only had tickets for one day, we did just IOA. Last time we had two days, we spent 1.5 days at IOA and half a day at US. If my kids were older - like teens - then I may feel differently, but IOA was a bigger hit than US with my kids. Plus, IOA was one of my favorite parks pre-kids too - though for totally different reasons than my kids' favorite reasons. I'd see what your friends wanted to do first and let them lead the way on the first day if the plan is to do it together. Then you have the second day to do whatever you want.

IoA with early entry for HP. Then through JP into Toon Town for Spidey and the Hulk. If no early entry, then just start at the beginning and work our way from TT to JP to HP.

Studios first. It's not a complete trip unless I can ride RRR and The Mummy two or three times first thing.
