We only have time to swing into one park for a couple hours of nighttime sightseeing..which one has the most decorations?

We were just there but do not recall anything spectacular with decorations. There is a holiday parade at 5:30 pm at Universal and not holiday related but at 7 pm there is a show in the water with projections and some fireworks. At IOA there were projections on Hogwarts Castle. Do not know what time they start but we saw it at 6:40 pm. Also a Grinch show not sure of what times they were as unfortunately this was a short trip and did not get to see it.

I love the Seussland decorations at IOA best, plus you can meet the talking Grinch (if that is happening this year?) but US does have the parade...

I agree with @schumigirl. Here right now and did both parks at night. Seuss at IOA is the best. Hogsmeade is good. Diagon Alley is OK. The only other decorations in Studios is a tree near the tribute Store and the alley where Blues Bros performs.

USF has the edge for me this year. Loud, well-known Christmas songs playing, even synced to the LED lights on their Xmas tree, the Macys parade, the performers hanging out before and after, the Holiday Tribute Store..

You can't go wrong with either or but I preferred USF this time.

Overall for just decorations alone for me is probably IoA only because of Suessland. Grinchmas musical is great too. However, Hogsmeade decorations and protection show are ok and nothing special imo.

But ultimately, I'd choose US for the most Christmas feel. The parade, the tribute store, the tree, and the mini shows that are slightly reworked for Xmas (Blues Brothers and Marilyn Monroe) are all great and automatically put us in the Christmas spirit a couple of weeks ago. I love Diagon Alley's Christmas decorations more than most, but you really don't get a good feel for them except at night. We skipped the Cinematic Water Show to be in Diagon Alley when it closed and its so peaceful and beautiful to be in there with the decorations almost to yourself (we literally were the last ones in Diagon Alley by the time we left). My theme park hating wife even said that was her favorite part of the entire day was being in there then and leisurely passing by the Christmas Tree on the way out to a empty quiet park.

US would be my choice if only one day, but IoA has its plusses too.

If you're asking strictly about decorations, Suessland is the most done up and to me the most Christmasy. And if you love HP, then I would say go to IOA for Suessland and the HP projection show. But as others have said, if you're taking in other more traditional Christmas activities, then USF has better offerings.
