Which Paint Chip?

I've seen the Disney paint chips at Home Depot referred to on the boards lately, but I'm not sure which "lime green" chips are the ones that are being used by members.

The two most likely ones I've seen are Alien Green and Sonic Boom. Will someone please let me know which one is the "right" one? I'd like to be able to identify my family to other board members while there and thought this would be a good way to do it.

I hate myself for asking..but what are you doing with the paint chips? I vision your family getting their bodies painted.

Some people are cutting the paint chip into a mickey shape. I downloaded the sample lime-green mickey shape that was posted on the DIS a while back, put our names on them, laminated them, and we wear them on our lanyards. Just a way to show the world that you DIS!

I had originally intended to use the mickey-shaped chips on our lanyards, but they're much too big for that. however, I expect that I'll use them around our site somehow to flag us as members. I just haven't figured out *how* yet.

You had posted your reply (above) while I was typing my earlier message. Great idea. I hadn't thought of that.

Now I just have to try to locate some lime green lanyards. I found a pile of lanyards at the dollar store here, but they have I 'heart' bingo, I 'heart' golf, etc. The only good ones were yellow with smileys.

I snagged the last one of those, but hope to find one or more plain green ones before our trip.

Do you think the guys at Home Depot wonder where all the lime green Mickeys go? At our local store the other day I checked to see if there were any. NOPE. All gone. Every other color was there. Just no lime green. Kinda a weird color for paint

ROFL! They are wondering why all the paint chips disappear, but nobody buys the paint!!

Yeah, but I bet they keep all of the proper tints in stock to prepare the paint when someone requests it.

I collected the Alien green, Mickey shaped samples, then peeled them off the card backings and did the laminating thing too. Now I have to go get more, and put our names on the new ones!!!
What a good idea.

. . . .and I never thought of a lime green lanyard. I happen to have one - from the National Clearinghouse of Drug Abuse Information (it's the government's collection of info for alcohol and drug counselors). Bet they didn't expect me to use it for DISney!!! LOL

Must not be any DISers in my area, my Home Depot had plenty! I also got red, white & blue ones (not sure what I'll do with them)
