Okay here is what I want to do in July. I want to try Vero, go to St. Pete to the Tradewinds resort and also try OKW and BCV. We could spend a total of 12 days on this vacation. I am thinking 2 Vero, 2 or 3 St. Pete and 3 OKW and 3 or 4 BCV.

I have ressies at BCV for July 27th through 31st (5 days) and Tradewinds for 4 days starting July 23rd through 26th. I am on a waiting list for Vero for these same St. Pete Days but could change dates to try and get a ressie right now. So I am trying to figure out the best way to arrange these places in vacation schedule. I would like to stay at St. Pete's for those high point weekends. SO that is why I booked it prior to BCV. We could arrive MCO and go straight to Vero or St. Pete then go to OKW and then back to either Vero or St. Pete whichever we didn't do first. Then end at BCV. OR...we could do both beach trips and then both WDW resorts. Not sure how far a drive it would be from Vero to St. Pete or vice versa??? I have 279 points to play with without borrowing too many from my 300 coming in Oct. I could even NOT DO ST. PETE'S. I mean that part of the trip is going to cost BIG BUCKSthat is why I put that part of the trip to take up high point Friday and Sat. I could just use my points instead of spending extra on the gulf basically and not go for as long as 12 days. I keep 2nd guessing and questioning my plan. Any suggestions?? Thanks to anyone that ventures to even UNDERSTAND this. LOL Oh and let me throw in that we are also able to stay at SOG (which is what we are doing in Jan. for our quick 5 night trip). SO SOG is also an option for NOT using weekend points plus we will be renting a van so we would have no problems moving. Just thought I would throw that out there. STILL WITH ME????

Ummmmmmmm. ??????????? VB, OKW, St.Pete, BCV

Edit: Misread the question. I was thinking order of preference. In order of doing simply because of logistics and distances I would say VB, BCV, OKW, St.Pete. Too much for me to do in 12 days though.

Yeah I am thinking that too. I WANT IT ALL!!!! I hate picking I hate leaving something out. I want to try OKW really bad and BCV really bad. My boys love the beach and loved our 5 days at Ft. Walton Beach two summer ago. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I might just have to leave it as is.....5 nights at BCV preceeded by 4 nights at St. Pete and call it a VACATION. LOL

I think this is the right mix.

Two coasts, four resorts in 12 days is a lot of packing and unpacking, especially with kids. What about rain days?

We did the opposite two years ago. Went to St Pete, then went to WDW. St Pete is great. We did an early morning, extended jet ski tour of Tampa Bay. It was the highlight of the trip.

RAIN NO WAY....LOL Not on my vacation. Have to say that we have had the best of the best of the best non rainy WDW days. I can recall two times it rained in all the trips we have taken and that was just a brief shower. LUCK was on our side.

We have been just as fortunate. When we went in October, the week prior it rained for a week straight. We were concerned that our MNSSHP event may get rained out. But as luck would have it, the rain stopped and was rain free the next 5 days!

The few times it has rained, usually its around 1pm, which is nap time!

Typically, it will rain almost every day in late July in Orlando. They are usually rain showers that crop up in the afternoon sometimes accompanied with thunder and lightening. I always find them to be a nice respite from the hot sun, though. We always bring rain ponchos and just continue park touring hopping undercover when possible. They run from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

We will be heading there this coming July ourselves! :)

Personally, that is too much moving around for me in one vacation. I would do one at the beach, either St. Pete or VB and then one resort at WDW. Save the others for another vacation.

It will most likely rain every day in July. The humidity builds up all day and it all cuts loose in the afternoon. The rain is actually a relief and doesn't slow us down, but if there's lightning you will need to take cover until it passes.

I think 4 resorts in 12 days doesn't sound like much of a vacation. You will be "homeless" and without a room until possibly 3 or 4 o'clock 4 times! I would drop one of the beach resorts. I would do 5 days at BC, two days (weekend days to save points) at Tradewinds, and then the last five days at OKW. If you had the points, you could substitute Vero for Tradewinds.

I just love this board and THE VOICES OF REASON that make me realize I have lost my mind :scared1: . :rotfl: Can't you tell I am am new to DVC. I WANT IT ALL...I WANT TO EXPERIENCE IT ALL. LOL I hate deciding on just one resort, one vacation....I WANT THEM ALL. Our first trip was last Aug. then we went back in Nov. and now I am planning July 09. IT is just SOOOOOOOOO HARD TO TO BE SETTLED WITH MY DECISION. I know I am going to be able to have many more vacations...SO WHY IS THIS SO HARD????

All the planning gets worse.

We went to SSR 10/30-11/3, 12/27-1/2. We are going to AKV 4/10-4/15, VB 5/24-5/27, Atlantis 6/14-6/21, Myrtle Beach in August, Hawaii 10/11-10-17, AKV 10/31-11/4 and SSR 12/27-1/4.

We already have June of 09 booked for St John. We have to decide what to do with our other timeshares for 2009. We'll start looking soon....lol.

Okay you must have a BAZILLION POINTS. :rotfl: THAT IS IMPRESSIVE. We went in Jan. last year for 6 nights at Shades of Green...bought into DVC our very last day there. So then we went in Aug. for 8 nights to SSR and BWV for our first trip. Then we went back in Nov. for 8 nights at SSR. :rotfl: We are going back in 2 1/2 weeks but to Shades of Green for 5 nights.

We have 625 DVC points and two 2br l/o units in the Westin timeshare system, which is both week based and point based. Next fall and Christmas trip might wipe us out for 2009, except for a small amount of points. It all depends who decides to go for New Years. We have three weeks to figure it out, to book at the 11 month window.

You do not have any Vacation Points for Member ID number ******** available to bank at this time.

Total Annual Allotment of Vacation Points 625

This is my current DVC account summary reads!
