Right now I am contacting as many TA's online and our AAA getting quotes for our upcoming cruise.

Which online TA have you used and were you happy with them? Any you recommend steering clear of?

I am using Magical Journeys on my September cruise. My TA is Wendy. I have been very happy with her. She also handled our June WDW trip. She was great!

On our next cruise I am using Cruise Vacation Center. I chose them because of the pricing.

Not that I have had bad experiences with others, but my vote is for Dreams Unlimited, the sponsor for this site.

I have had nothing but Fantastic things to say. :goodvibes

Ive been going through this process myself and listed what others told me they had good luck with and best prices:
magic for less, mouse ear vacations, cruisevalue, costco 877.849.2730, small world, berwick travel, smartcruiser, cruise complete and cruise planners. I would call Dana at 800.385.8233 she is very informative and is there to help you save money even if it means not using her. I found the best price w/magic for less and mouse ear since they buy "lots" of them. of coarse sept. and jan are the cheapest

oh yes dreams unlimited for sure :)!!

First, read the fine print. Some sites list prices that don't include the port charges and taxes. Other sites list the total price.

Seondly, consider how much "service" you need. Are you experienced with DCL and/or WDW. Have you done your homework so that you know what you want? Or do you need a fair amount of guidance and hand holding? How much experience with DCL does your agent have (really!, not just what they learned by attending a disney seminar 4 years ago).

I'm sending you a pm....there are lots of good agents out there, most have been named here already.

I'll give my support for Cruise Vacation Center as well. I did quite a bit of research for a large family trip (16 people, 5 staterooms) and they beat every other price by a substantial amount. There were no "hidden fees" or limited cancellations, etc. They sent us all of the Booking info right away, Disney shows our ressies as requested, etc.

I don't know how much "hand holding" they do or anything since I'm pretty much a vacation information freak. I overlearn everything about everywhere I'm going so I always know exactly what I want/need. :)

We've used many different TAs ....

In the past decade - and we found good TAs through a REVERSE auction site called cruise compete dot com. cruisecompete.com. On this site you specify your desired cruise, date, catagory and passenger composition.

However, for DCL we've used icruise.com once and Annette ( annette@mei-travel.com ) the last two times with satisfying results. BUT - I would encourage everyone to let the site sponsor have a chance to directly BID for your business. I find that you will find there are several good TAs with fairly good bids for the identical cruise and cabin catagory. HOWEVER - you may not want to shop too many. Giving your names and getting bids with temporary holds may complicate matters temporarily.

I find that you should contact the LEADING candidates first. And a little effort will yied savings of a few hundred usually - OR - you will find one TA to be preferable over another for a non-cost reason.

ALSO, a good Ta for me or someone else - MAY NOT be the best TA for you and YOUR specifc date. That may be because various TAs hold group space on certain sailngs - and they might have an "edge" over most competiting TAs. Our current preferred TA has group space on the same dates that we always prefer (so far).

So try cruise competite and give the site sponsor a chance to "BID".

REgards, and good luck getting more than you hope to get!

Another vote for DU- agent: Sue Ellen. She is a pleasure to work with, efficient, and knows Disney! :wizard:

I checked at least a dozen sites including cruisecompete.com, AAA, Sam's, Costco, and BJ's (we are members of all of them) and found Dreams Unlimited to be over a few hundred cheaper than anyone else. They get back to you quick and are very responsive to any questions. We also booked an August trip through them for the theme parks and have been very happy with their service.
