Taking a 6 and 12.5 year old nieces, none of us have eaten at 1900 PF dinner or Whispering Canyon dinner. I think the girls would like the food better at 1900 PF but I know DH and I would prefer the food at WCC BUT it is really all for the kids...which place is more fun for the girls? This will be our arrival night dinner so I really want to kick it off with a fun time!

Would love to hear your reviews, good or bad, for both places.

We have never done 1900 PF dinner but chose it anyway. This is because DH and I ate at WCC for dinner in September and found it very overrated and DH got sick eating the skillet (and the food was not good at all!). The best thing about the place was the chocolate shake. We had a 5:00 reservation and waited 40 minutes past our ADR time and were there for 2 hours. Never again.

We did 1900 for dinner this summer. The food was just o.k., typical buffet food, nobody in our party though it was any better than average. I know you already know how loud that place is!! ;)

That being said, it has a truly unique character mix and is worth doing once for that reason. My only suggestion would be to ask if you might be able to be seated in the center area by where the buffet is. That is where Cindy and the Prince danced and then picked kids to join them. We were off in one of the side areas and not near the center of activity so we felt a little out of it.

We probably won't return (I know a lot of people love it there), but I am glad we went once so DD6 was able to see all those Cinderella characters in one place. I would say it is the best choice for girls. Food is always secondary for us at character meal anyway.

Even though we usually stay at the Lodge, we have only eaten once at WCC and that was for breakfast a couple of years ago. It was fun, but for your nieces I would do 1900.

Hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

I really liked the WCC when we ate there in 2005. But since you said this would be for your nieces, I picked 1900 PF.

We've only been to 1900 PF once, but DS begs to go back each time just for the strawberry soup :thumbsup2 We really liked the buffet there :goodvibes

We've never had a bad meal at WCC, I just think you're nieces will really appreciate the atmosphere at 1900 than they would at WCC.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I took your advice and called to book 1900 PF. Just to check both places WCC and 1900 PF had a ton of available times for dinner for a party of 4. Maybe WDW will not be too crowded the end of January? One can hope right :rotfl:

Our group of ten this past May all loved this meal.

They ranged in age from 7-55.

The characters were histerical. The food was surprisingly good for a buffet, as I am not a buffet person.

There were no complaints from anyone.

1900 only because I think every girl would love to meet Cinderella :)

So Nicki, what ADR did you drop? I'm sure you had something planned ;)

You know me so well!! :goodvibes

I didnt drop any, I actually added one. Todd can get off of work around noon so we are planning on getting into WDW alot earlier on Wed than we thought so of course I had to pick a nice TS dinner to kick off the trip!

So far I have breakfast at Ohana, CP, Princess Breakfast and Kona and dinner at 1900 PF, Fultons (older niece is a crab fiend), Coral Reef and Tony's. Have no clue what we are going to do for lunches tho

For two little girls, Park Fare would be my choice hands down. It is my favorite character meal ever. The stepsisters were hilarious and absolutely made it special.
