Which one is better?

I am trying to book my ADR for when I go in June and although I visit Disney a lot, I havent ever been to either of these Character breakfasts...which one is best?

Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace?

There will be my 3 year old (almost 4), My boy cousin Dakota (who is a very young 12)mentally younger...my Sister who is handicapped who is also not her age, and my 16 year old cousin Chelsea. It will technically be my cousin Dakota's first Disney trip, and Chesleas 2nd (last time she was there she was my sons age).

I know that with Crystal Palace we could get into MK earlier, but that wont necessarily be the winner to us if Chef Mickey's is the better experience. Which would you choose?

I have been to both and we unfortunately had a bad experience with Crystal Palace last time. The characters took forever and then they skipped over us so we sat there so long just to see them. It was a disappointment but must have been an off day because everyone seems to rave about it. We have been to Chef Mickey's every trip and we LOVE it!! We will continue to go every trip. It is so much fun and we loved all of the choices. Even though we had one not so good experience with crystal palace, we are doing it again this trip and looking forward to it. I hope it is worth it this time. Either one will probably be fine, but my vote is for Chef Mickey's.

I've never been to either for breakfast, but have been to both for dinner. I personally like Chef Mickey's better. I like their food choices better and the snack choices. I think Crystal Palace is more crowded too.

I have been to both for dinner too and I would choose chef mickeys.

I have been to both. Easy decision, Chef Mickey's. At Crystal Palace, while you are eating the characters come to you at your table and pose for photos, sign the autograph books and go on to the next table. At Chef Mickey's there is the WOW factor for kids. Minnie & Mickey are both there and they dance around the room and get the kids(big kids too) involved. Much more interaction with the kids. After the dance then the characters come to each table and do the same as at the Crystal Palace. Food wise I would say the meal is better at Crystal Palace, but let's be honest, your kids are really not going to eat! If you are looking for a calm breakfast with the morning sun coming through the windows, go to Crystal Palace. If your into a loud, bustling atmosphere with lots of character interaction, pick Mickey's. My kids would pick Chef Mickey's hands down.

I've been to both and definitely prefer Chef Mickey's.

Definitely Crystal Palace for us. We go every year and we alternate every year: one year we'll do an 8:05 a.m. ADR so that we can have Main Street basically to ourselves and pictures of the castle and the next year we do a 10:00 or 10:15 ADR after we have done Extra Magic Hours and done all of the rides in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. We like Chef Mickey's, but we prefer the food and the character interaction at CP.

I like them both.

But if I had to choose 1, Crystal Palace would be it. I like the food better and I think the pooh characters are fun and interact well with guests. There is also napkin waving and a parade at Crystal Palace, so both places do some form of a "show". Plus nothing beats walking down main street when its empty.

We have been to both and I would say that food is better at CP but character interaction as well as "the fun atmosphere" is better at CM.

Thank you all for your kind replies...hmmm. Now I am just as torn. I do think that the kids will like the Chef Mickey's better...more interaction and going on would really help my son (who suffers from ADHD) to stay in the area during the food instead of being ready to leave the moment he is done. Thanks and although I am still torn, I appreciate all of the replies and advice

Chef Mickey's - definitely. We were not impressed in the least with CP. The character interaction was so much better at Chef Mickey's. CP had a lot of items my family did not enjoy. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
