Hello Everyone! I hope Your tuesday goes well.:goodvibes

Which of these two dates would You pick and why?

Dec. 4th through Dec. 7th
OR
Dec. 11th through Dec. 14th.

Thanks for giving me your insight and experiences in relation to visiting disneyland at this time of year.

Well, I'd probably choose the 4th - 7th because I'd guess the earlier in the month the less crowded it would be. But if the candlelight ceremony (or whatever it's called) was that weekend then I probably wouldn't.

I think the parks are open a bit later the 11th - 19th. But I always choose less crowds over longer hours.

Really the only day that would have longer hours would be Thursday the 11th. They are open until 10pm instead of 8. All the other days will probably be the same.

I don't have an opinion on the dates (except I'd avoid the CM cast parties which might be a conflict). But...

I would be mindful that DL in particular gets very crowded in the evening with local AP holders coming out for a few hours to enjoy the DL seasonal evening magic. (snow during the fireworks, parades etc.)

We went for a Sun/Mon last year around the 10th of Dec. & thankfully we employed the Disboard strategy of:

- Arriving 20-30 min. prior to rope drops.
- Picking up FPs & touring DL for 2-3 hours.
- Hopping to DCA in the afternoon (before or after our mid day break)
- Coming back to DL with 4-5 FPs in our pockets in the evening. (When it was crowded.)

Have fun at Walt's park. :thumbsup2

They are starting to put the hours up for December on the disneyland website. I see that Disneyland closes at 6pm on Monday the 8th and Tuesday the 9th. (Normally they close at 8pm on those days.) So I'm guessing those are the cast parties....which won't conflict with any of the days you're looking at. DCA stays open until 9pm those days instead of the usual 6pm.

Thanks for the Info everyone!!

I went ahead and booked Dec. 11th thru 14th , 2 rooms at the Grand Californian.

It's an early christmas present.:santa:

Thanks and Have a Happy Day!:goodvibes

I was going to say 11-14 because the 11th is my birthday. Not that it would help the OP, but if it was my vacation - I'd push for a HAPPY birthday! :thumbsup2
