We have five people and want a micro-fridge as well as walking distance. The best deals I found were at the Desert Inn and Suites significantly cheaper, is there a bad reason), Park Vue Inn and BW Park Place Inn.

We are going the last week of Jan if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

Desert Inn has an indoor pool which really isn't very nice in the heat of summer but when you are going an indoor pool would be a bonus. Of the three BWPPI gets the better general feedback, Park Vue gets really mixed reviews while Desert Inn has its fans here. All are roughly the same distance away from DL.

We just got back from a stay at the Desert Inn. We also got a smoking good rate and wondered why. No worries. We had a great experience. It was the second closest hotel to the crosswalk. Park Vue was the closest by about 30 feet. We ordered groceries from Vons and the front desk signed for it as it arrived just before we did. They refridgerated the cold foods. The rooms we larger than we expected and very clean. We got what the call a "Family Suite" which was really just two adjoining rooms. But they were the only hotel to garauntee us adjoining roome. We paid $149 for the first two nights and $209 for the Fri, Sat and Sun before Thanksgiving. That was for both rooms. Now I agree with Gail that the HOJO has that great Ent rate and pool. But it is a good walk and in Jan you won't use the Pirate pool

Thanks for the replies. I'm not going swimming (park commando). Desert Inn gives me the most value for my money but I was concerned because it's a lot cheaper.

I did look into Hojo but my dates are Jan 25-29 and the entertainment rates start on the 28th.

Anyone else, or something I'm not thinking of?

Just for full information, you can call them and have that rate for those nights, and since you are a Disboards member you can tell them that and get 15% off the rack rate for the nights not included. And they might add dates, they always do! :) Just be sure to call them at the 714 number during pacific time business hours and ask for "in house reservations".

Anyway, that's just so you can make sure you're comparing apples to apples financially-speaking.

We normally stay in the park until close also. But two of our nights it closed at 8:00. So DD swam for about 30 minutes each night

The Annabella Hotel is a good hotel and not a bad price. The rooms are nice and it's within walking distance to Disneyland.
