Which of these strollers will work better for DD2

DD1 will be just 10 days shy of her second birthday when we go to WDW this Sept. Last Oct, we took our midsized stroller so she could nap and have good canopy coverage to block the sun. She's not quite walking by herself yet, but I'm not looking forward to bringing a midsize stroller with us again. We will have a rental car, but utilize the WDW buses most of the time. We will probably opt to bring an umbrella stroller this time, as it will be less cumbersome to carry onto the bus, and DD will probably nap less. Am I correct in that assumption? Anyway, we already own 2 umbrella strollers and are hoping to not have to buy another. One is a lightweight Sesame Street stroller with a basket that doesn't recline. The other is the old style Graco Citilite. I love the Citilite due to its one hand fold, decent basket, light weight and semi recline. I am leaning towards taking the Citilite, but the canopy has "collapsed" a little due to the plastic bending and things being rested on it (like the diaper bag). So, if you can picture it, the canopy doesn't stick out as far as it should and droops in the middle a bit. It provides coverage, but not a ton. Is there any way I can rememdy this canopy so I can take this stroller? The Sesame Street one is in better shape, but needs two hands to fold, doesn't recline at all, and doesn't push as easily (but not that much of a noticeable difference). Maybe I could lay a towel or received blanket over the canopy? DH wants to heat the plastic in the canopy with a blow dryer and try to bend it back into place. Please help....

I would take the Graco. Have you tried looking for a replacement canopy? Kiddopotomas makes one called a Ray shade that looks pretty cool: click here

or you could buy a parasol like this one by One Step Ahead. I saw tons of these in the parks when we were there a few weeks ago.

IMO, having the convenience of one hand folding and being able to recline is a must. I think it depends on your child, but WDW can wear out the most active child and you won't regret having the recline feature if your dc decides to take a nap.

If its you, dh and baby I would consider brining the orignal graco with the functional sunshade and full recline. Especially if you are doing long days in the park and think baby will nap. Use a backpack instead of diaper bag and keep everything packed up for convenience. When boarding bus or tram one parent takes baby and one parent takes stroller.

Second choice would be the citylight if you can fix the shade or get an umbrella to attach. A clip on fan worked wonders for dd at that age as well.

Graco would probably replace the shade for you at no charge. Gather the ID info from the stroller label and call them about it.
You'll need the model ID and the date of mfr.

Generally, if they send you a replacement for an upholstered part, they ask you to take a scissors to the one you have now, and send them a big chunk of the fabric. It helps them match it, and also insures that you are not trying to build a free stroller out of replacement parts.

We bought the Citilite for our last Disney trip and just loved it. The mid-size Graco..which we have would be too heavy to be lugging around and wider too for zipping through crowds.

Definitely go to their website and call them to get a replacement. You have plenty of time but start now.

Don't think I'll do it as that would be a decent chunk off a new stroller. Maybe I'll be able to find a replacement canopy online...
