(Just realized I was lurking on the family board when I posted this but meant to post it here where it belongs so trying again!)

IF THE COST WAS EXACTLY THE SAME (which it will be to us because of husband's company paying part of the costs), which one of these two options would you choose?? We are so undecided!!

A. Stay at Coronado Springs for 7 nights and then Pop Century for 5 nights with 10 day MYW base tickets - no extra options on the tickets.

or

B. Stay at Pop Century the entire time with 10 day MYW tickets with park hopping and water park options added.

Please help us figure this out!

I'd go ahead and stay at Pop if my budget depended on it for the 10 days. You will get more out of the hopping and water parks IMHO, than the CSR experience. I'm sure it is beautiful, but take those extra days and perks!

I vote for B. I would enjoy more being able to park hop and using the water parks. Besides, if you choose A then you have to pack up and move right in the middle of your trip. I would NOT enjoy that... especially since I have a 4yr old that has the ability to drive me insane on a nice calm day!

Just think... with plan B you can come and go thru the parks as you please.
All in one day you could run from a pirate: in the morning, enjoy a Big Bad Bug movie in :3dglasses after lunch and then ''voila'' ... thru the magic of pixiedust: you are off to Paris for some yum-diddly-scrumptious dinner! :thumbsup2

Do you plan on relaxing at any point, if you do stay at CSR, and take the longer vacation, plus they have better on resort food options. 10 Days is a lot of park time so why not pick one park in the beginning do an exploration and planning strategy and then return on the tail end to the park again, that way you can really focus on the things you would like to see at that specific park. Or, seeing that your husband's company is paying for a portion of the trip the money you are saving could be used to add the park hopper option on to the trip and then you will have a truly magical experience if your budget allows it.

I would totally take the CSR and Pop without the hoppers. 10 days of parks is plenty without the hopping option. We always get hoppers because our stay is always shorter than 10 days and we are cramming to get more in. You have plenty of dining options outside of the parks, if dining is a motivation to buy hoppers. You can exit and re-enter the same park each day. Depending on when you go, you can always just pay for a day at the water parks out of pocket, and head to a park later for dinner. I'd also try to stay at POP first, and then CSR so you don't feel like you are downgrading when you switch hotels.
We usually only stay about 5 nights, so a 12 night stay would be so luxurious! I'd bet you'd be ready for a different resort after 5 nights.
How fun!
Enjoy!
