Which of the Disney value hotels is nicest?

We have stayed at POP and loved it except we didn't get a preferred room and we were stuck in the very back in the 90's. The walk to the food court was so long. Once we left the room for the morning that was it. It was too far to walk back to the room. We stayed at Movies last time and we got a preferred room. Loved it!!! We could walk back and forth to the food court in no time! This time we are staying at Music (preferred room). Can't wait!!!

We've only stayed onsite at POP, so nothing to compare it to, but DH and I LOVE it. Clean and comfy and does what we need it to do: give us a place to sleep and shower in between parks!

I like the All Star Music. The rooms were recently redone (along with those at the Sports) and they look great! Plus at the Music they play games by the pool during the day, and show movies by the pool at night. I really enjoyed swimming after a long day in the parks, and it was neat to watch a Disney movie at the same time.:goodvibes

My vote is for Pop Century. I've stayed at the All Stars, and they are nice, but there's something special about Pop.
Have a great time!!

Ive only stayed at POP and LOVED IT!!!

i stayed at pop century last year and loved it... the staff very friendly and very helpful some mousekeeping staff went above and beyond for us.. its was a great exprience.. their cheesecake rocks!

We have stayed at all of the Value Resorts (although not really a "value") :sad2:

Seriously though we loved ALL of them. We have comfortably fit 4 adults and children in them with an inflatable mattress along for the kids. It took some figuring when it came time for showers, etc but the vanity sink outside the bathroom helped!

It really depends on what you are interested in.

When my husband chose the hotel, he chose sports and we stayed there a few times. We got the preferred room the first time but it was too loud because we were on the corner and lots of Dads and their kids played soccer outside. We stayed on the backside several times because my aunt has a guide dog and it made it much easier for "potty breaks."

All Star Movies....had to stay at Dalmation hotel because my daughter was big into it...and Fantasia because again...big into that for a while. At Music we loved it all...and will be staying at the Broadway hotel in March.

POP is our fave of them all...love the theming, love the resort overall. We are the type to get up and go first thing in the morning and only come back for a quick swim or some lunch in the afternoon so we don't need to shell out the extra bucks for the moderates or deluxes. Perhaps as we age we might want that.....

I've stayed at every value except All Star Sports and they are very similar. My favorite is All Star Music, we stayed in a family suite - which is awesome for the size, kitchenette and two bathrooms. Had wonderful time joining in the pool activities in the afternoon, it was all round a great stay.

Pop is my least favorite, I'm sad to say since I obviously love Lady & Tramp. It seems much busier to me and we had a noise problem with our room. Not saying it was horrible but my All Star experiences were better. JMHO.

I don't *love* any of them, but Pop gets my vote if it means the difference between going and not going to WDW.

POP is the best hotel hands down! its big easy to get around, its the newest disney hotel they have suites for bigger familys and the themeing is great and how it takes you through the most popular and most fun decades of our time! the pools are interesting even the stairs and the hole resort in general! i would recommend POP!

We have stayed at the movies and pop, I prefer the POP. The buses ran a lot better. However, the walls at the Pop were very thin. We herd everything, so I suggust bring a fan or something to drown the noise.

Pioneer has it right, there aren't many differences. I love POP and will stay there with extended family in September. In favor of the AllStars, whichever you stay at, you can easily walk to the others, and they are all themed really well. I stayed at Sports while they were still building Music, then again in '06. In 'o7 we stayed at Music and loved the quiet pool that was right outside our door, like a private pool in the early morning. Then in Jan '09 we stayed at Movies and a night at POP. In Dec we stayed at POP. Pop is bigger, mostly because each building has an extra floor. The buildings are laid out so the furthest is closer to the bus stops than the furthest buildings at the AllStars. My favorite mousekeepers are at Music, plus they have the main pool themed to The Three Cabelleros. POP has the best, but busiest food court.

So that's why I keep thinking Pop is the smallest.

We love Pop because it seems so much more compact to us!!

I"ve stayed at all 4 at least twice, ASMu many more times than that.. Honestly, I htink they all get the job done.... Clean, typically good service, large fod court with many choices, nice pools. They all have large iconic decor, which does not float my boat, but is fun for kids. However, Pop costs more and I don't think it is worth the extra money - it is no better than the All Stars, IMHO. But it is a good place to stay nonetheless... It definitely has a devoted following on these boards..

Another small difference:

Pop is in another county and their sales tax is 0.5% less than the All Stars.

That's one of the things that decided for me.

We love POP. Have stayed there before kids-Oct'04 and after-Dec'08 and are booked for March. We never had any issues with food, service, rooms or busses. We like how everything is close and convenient. My in-laws are staying at CSR so I'll be able to compare it and POP, which is off this topic:)
