Which non-character table service with kids?

I made all of our ADR's for our 5 night stay. We have 1 table service credit left and I would like it to be a non-character meal. My children are 2.5 and 8 months and are very well behaved at restaurants. They are pretty adventurous when it comes to food so that is not an issue. Knowing all of this, which table service dinner restaurant, not in a park, would you recommend for dinner and why?
Thanks!

There are two in DTD - Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex. Both are great places for kids because of the animatronics. All of the others are standard restaurants and offer nothing special. With kids that young, mys suggestion is to avaoid signatures for a lot of reasons but mostly because they take longer.

Rainforest and T-Rex aren't on the dining plan :(

Kona is great and so is Ohana (both at Poly). Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is a "clam bake" buffet, and they have all you can eat crab legs. We ate there in June and I thought it was ok :)

Our two favorites are Boma and Ohanas. Boma is a buffet so if they don't like something there's always something else. The soups are amazing there and they have african type food as well as american. O'hanas is great for the food and atmosphere. This is easily our favorite meal of each of our trips, they serve it family style in big bowls on your table so you can take as much or as little as you want of each thing and they'll bring more out if you want too. The entertainment is things like hula lessons, limbo, and parade around the restaurant. The kids really get into this and they give out leis for the people that participate. Plus as a bonus you can see the castle from here. We usually eat here and then go to the beach for the fireworks and the water parade with the light up boats.

I have a not so well behaved 3 year old at dinner. Not that she is disruptive to anyone, she just doesn't have patience at the dinner table so I planned my meals around character dining but I have to say Ohana worked well for us. The music, dancing and singing made for a very pleasant meal. We will definitely be going back.

I totally agree with Boma. The food is wonderful, and there seems to be something for everyone. With a buffet, there's always the easy fallback of chicken fingers, fries, etc. The resort (AKL) is beautiful and you can see the animals before/after you eat giving them something to look forward too also.

I agree with either Boma or 'Ohana. The food is great at both. Boma is buffet so you need to get up to get your food. This is the only problem I can see with little ones. Boma would be great though because either before or after you can walk out to the savana and check out the animals. The lobby is interesting too.

Our favorite place to eat is 'Ohana. It is family style so they bring the food to you so you do not have to leave the table which is good with children.
There is usually a performer there and they have coconut races and hula contests so your older one might enjoy that. The dessert there is to die for. Maybe this will sway you.

Either way you go you will not be disapointed.

If you are at Epcot you could try Coral Reef, my boys really enjoy this dining experience. Try to request a table next to the tank (not guaranteed), it is nice for adults and kids to watch the fish while waiting for your food.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I made an ADR at Boma. I checked out the menu....YUMMY! The flavors sounds amazing and it will def. be like nothing we've had before at WDW.
I was thinking about Ohana, but we are doing a breakfast there so I wanted to try a new atmosphere.
Here is what we have scheduled for our trip..
Sun- CRT dinner- MK for day
Mon- Ohana breakfast & Boma dinner
Tues- Sea World (oh the horror)
Wed- Chef Mickeys dinner
Thurs- Tusker House Breakfast- AK for the day
Any tips, advice, or must eats?

I agree with 'Ohana and Boma as well. Those are some of our favorites! I think I lean a little towards 'Ohana out of the two, but both are very worthwhile!

Sounds good! When your at AK try yak n yeti counter service or flame tree BBQ for lunch/dinner. We've had really yummy food from both places! Depending on the time your BF ressie is for Tusker try to get a FP for the safari ride before you eat.
