Which night to do DHS?

Which do you think will be less crowded? A night that they're showing Fantasmic!, or an EMH night? If we go on the EMH night, we'd get to the park around 6 and could stay until 11pm (we'll be visiting another day from opening till about 2pm). Seeing Fantasmic! is not on our to-do list this trip, so if we went on a night they'd be performing we would be able to explore other things.

From June 2-9, I know that they are are showing June 2, 4, and 8. No fantasmic package available when I called, all booked.

the F! package is preferred seating when you make an ADR for the F! package at one of 3 restaurants.

You can still stand in line to see F!, or do what we did: pick up dinner from a CS and eat in the seats while you wait for the 7 pm show.

I would think EMH nights would be less crowded than F! nights. However, we did experience a very crowed EMH last hol - but it was before the F! cutbacks.

Just FYI, I am hearing horror stories about the Fantasmic package. More than one story of reserved seats being overrun, and customers left S.O.L. aside from going to guest services for a refund and another pass for Fantasmic. I read somewwhere about a 45 minute line just for guest services one night.

They just added another night to the weekly schedule. I might wait to hear some feedback on that before trying to book anything.

I've had the experience of both being completely crowded, so it's hard to say. I voted for EMH, just because crowds tend to thin out the later it gets, and EMH lets you stay there past most folks' bed times!

I would say that once it becomes standing room only, there is no way for the CMs to control the crowds. If you could even get to your seats at that point. So it just may not be doable by any method if your just get there 15 mins before the show.
