I know this question or a variation of it has been asked a thousand times. Still I have to ask. Which moderate should I stay at? The Coronado or the Caribbean? I have stayed at both Riverside and French Quarter so I want to stay somewhere else. Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated.

They are both very beautiful.

Caribbean is more kids and family tropical paradise.
Coronado is very nice but people who generally stay there are adults or people on business trips.

CBR...the new pool is awesome! but if you plan on eating at the resort much the food is better at CSR.

I've stayed at both, granted CBR was 12 yrs ago as a teenager... I have stayed twice at CSR and would stay again if we decide to stay at a mod. We have a small one so dealing with the stroller, bags, and bus was quite a pain!

They are all great choices. Pick the one that appeals to you most.

CSR offers a terrific main pool area, awesome transportation, and great food options.

Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

CSR now has queen beds in all the rooms and will have club level rooms as of 01/2009!!

Check out the pics of the rehab with the new flat panel TV's!!

Thanks for the pictures Buzz. I'm still trying to choose between CBR and CSR so any more advice is greatly appreciated.

We picked CBR. I have not stayed at either so can only tell you why we chose CBR.

We have young kids and this seemed to be more child friendly then CSR. We are looking forward to the beaches and the pirate pool. Also they have a hot tub which my hubby's bad back will appreciate after walking around the parks all day. I am a little worried about the size of the resort and hoping that it is easy to get around.

Now if it were just us adults going I really like CSR. The pool looks really cool and the rooms more luxurious.

CSR!! I love CSR for the atmosphere, great CM's and the deluxe-lite feel. CSR offers a spa, salon, full menu room service and fitness center not to mention a terrific main pool area and the best transportation that is not shared with any other resort. It's like taking two vacations in one. Queen beds too!

Our kids love the playground and arcade located at the main pool.

The Caribbean...we like the themeing alot more although we did enjoy our stay at the CSR we just like the Island feel at CB better

I agree! CSR has much more to offer than any of the other moderate resorts. We recently decided to switch from CBR to CSR to give it a try because of all the positive stuff I've read on the boards. It looks awesome and sounds even better.

CSR is our favorite--we've stayed seven times and have already booked number eight. We have never stayed at the CBR, but we also have no desire to do so. That's not saying there is anything wrong with it (although we hated the food court the two times we ate there and we don't care for the colors/theme--I'd rather go to Daytona Beach), it's just not for us (we don't need Nemo rooms or Pirate rooms or a pirate-themed pool. We like the CSR because we find it a little more adult oriented (but don't get me wrong...there are still plenty of kids at the resort...our kids have stayed and it was their favorite resort). We like that the resort is spread out--even with a convention going on you never feel as if the resort is crowded (unless at the food court during a convention at lunch time--but we are usually at the parks). We like how peaceful and quiet it is; DH and I love taking walks when we return from the parks at night to admire the beauty of the resort when the sun has gone down and the lights are reflecting off the lake and the fountains in the courtyards of the Casitas. The landscaping is stunning during the day hours. We like the main pool and slide, the Siesta Snack Shop at the pool where we can eat a light lunch and have a cocktail or refill our mug; we like the volleyball court, the hot tub, the fitness center/spa and the quiet pools. We love the gift shop--one of the biggest at the resorts; we enjoy Pepper Market (it is a love/hate relationship with a lot of people); love the new Cafe Rix for takeout and the new Rix Lounge for a nighttime drink. We have always had CM's that have gone above and beyond and great mousekeeping. We were there in September and were upgraded to a suite for our 25th anniversary so we have not yet had the pleasure of trying out the new queen beds. So we are really looking forward to our trip next September for the new beds and the new furniture, televisions, etc.

We prefer CBR, but I think it all comes down to theming and what you prefer. CSR's food court operates a little differently, and doesn't appeal to us, but a lot of people love CSR.

For us, CBR is a vacation within our vacation, and we can't wait to be back there!:cool1:
