Trying to convince DH to take me to WDW for my birthday (no kids  ) the week after Thanksgiving 2009 (now I just need 2009 rates to come out!!). On our trip this summer, we spent 1 week offsite and 4 nights at OKW which was OK but I'm looking at other options for this trip. As much as I would love to stay at a deluxe  I think a moderate is more likely in our budget.

SO disers, my question for you is: which moderate do you like best and why? Any pros/cons/comparisons you can offer are much appreciated. Things like, transportation, food courts, pools, good vs. bad room choices, etc.

TIA

There are no more then three other posts on the first two pages here that ask (and have over a dozen answers) to the same question.

Suggest that you just take five minutes and you can read up and get the answers you need.

I would reccomend PO-FQ. It is smaller than the other moderates and has a wonderful romantic air about it after dark.

CSR! Great main pool area, awesome transportation that is not shared with another resort and terrific food options. Check out my CSR website for pics and info.

CSR - our moderate choice, one and only.
We love deluxes - but with the ecomony, we are doing a moderate.

The CSR is really a deluxe, but called a moderate.

The main difference of a deluxe room from the CSR room is an open closet (no doors), your room door opens to the outside (instead of a hallway) and a bus to everywhere (exception of AKL).
The rooms are 314 sq ft. Not bad for 4 people.
The room at WL is only a tad larger (even with bunk beds you do not reallky get more room).

CSR does not share it's buses, has the largest modreate resort pool with a 123' water slide, both CS & TS avaialble, business office available (just like the Dolphin and CR), a place to do up your hair and relax at a salon, a place for adults to have adult conversations and a nice drink, great wlak arouns the lake, boat and bike rentals, Bass fishing excursions, the list goes on.

Same soaps as in the deluxes. Pool towels at the pool, so leave you room towels in your room.

CSR - can I say anything more ? :rotfl:
