Last year was our first year to Disney World as a family. We stayed at The Grand Floridian for 8 days 7 nights --it was wonderful. I am still waiting for some codes to come out because we want to go in May for 10 days. I don't know if we will be able to stay at the Floridian this year ---so please tell me which Moderate hotel is your favorite and which sections at the resort to stay in. Thanks so much!:bounce:

Our family enjoys staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. We particularly like the Cabana's building 9B. Which ever moderate you stay in, I'm quite sure your trip will be enjoyable!

To be completely honest, you may see a huge difference between the Grand Floridian, the flagship hotel, and a moderate. The moderate rooms will be smaller, but well themed depending on the resort. All transportation is by bus (except for the DD boat from POR and POFQ). The biggest difference will be the level of service and the fact that most of the moderates have a hike to the main building where the food, shops, etc. are. As for picking a moderate, check out www.wdwig.com for pictures. Pick the theme that appeals to you best! I rank the moderates as follows CBR and POR tie for first, then CSR and then POFQ. I think that CBR is probably the prettiest and the rooms are very bright which is similar to the GF. Happy deciding!

hi there...

we really enjoyed the Port Orleans (French Quarter) It is compact that you are not walking a mile to everything, with a great pool and food court.

Rooms are a nice size with great mousekeepiing. If I have tp pick a moderate I would go here again rather than try a new one.

Good luck deciding

Check out my website below for pics and info.

Good luck deciding!

After being spoiled by the Beach Club, I stayed at PO FQ in December... it was lovely... but I don't think I would have enjoyed it if there had been more than just my daughter and me. When we have a bigger group go down, we tend to like being pampered...

Definitely PO-FQ... it is the best! The bus stop is great--- 1st on, 1st off. Everything is within easy walking distance. There is a direct boat from there to DTD in the evenings. The food court is newly refurbished, and the food is yummy! There is a water taxi to PO-R, and you are welcome to use the amenities at that resort, as well.

I would love to stay at CS! Great website Buzz2001!

Thanks Leah! CSR wasn't getting any love from the DIS boards when I first started hanging around here so I had to create a site for others to see how beautiful it really is. CSR is starting to get its own fan club now.

we have stayed at CBR & CSR and really loved them both. we are staying at POFQ this year to round out the moderates. watch the codes as well; we stayed at AKL last year for $109 standard room and received a free upgrade to pool view and just fell in love with this resort. good luck in deciding; you really can't go too wrong IMHO with whichever you decide.

Buzz: Your link does not appear to be working. Would love to see the CS pics.

We love POR! We have always stayed in the AB section and love the landscaping, pool, and the food court. Beautiful resort.

We have stayed at POR POFQ and CBR. Of these our favorite is still CBR. To us it had the most tropical feel of all - and that is what we were looking for.

Unfortunately pstepka I am only allow so many vists per hour so when many folks start to vists due to CSR posts, I run out and then shut it down for 2 hours. This is the message you get:

The Tripod page you are trying to reach has exceeded its hourly bandwidth limit. The site will be available again in 2 hours!

Thank you!

Sorry but try back soon.
