Which moderate hotel do you like.

Love CSR, would be our first pick. Buzz's site has wonderful photos.
If not available we would take POR, which we have enjoyed as well.
If neither of them were available, I would probably go to POP and save the money.

Thank you very very much everyone for your replies, you've been great, it's really helping us to make up our mind's, the details some of you have gone in to is great and I'm very grateful for it.

Buzz2001 love your photo's.

Wow! I can't believe you've not gotten replies about the CBR. We loved everything about the resort. The resort has a tropical/Caribbean theme which is carried out throughout the resort. The buildings are painted bright colors and the landscaping is lush and beautiful.

The resort is large but not any more so that some of the other moderates. Old Port Royale, where the food court/marina/store is located is located in the middle of the resort. The promenade around the resort is just 1.4 miles. So...even if your room is at the very furthest point from Old Port Royale, you won't walk more than half that.

Now you can see why we love the CBR so much!

CSR is our favorite onsite resort. We've stayed at GF and the Poly and I prefer CSR. It has such a relaxed feeling as opposed to many of the other WDW properties. At the end of a day in the parks, I don't want to go to a hotel with a hurried pace. The landscaping is gorgeous and the staff is unbelievably helpful. We love the Pepper market-the food is delicious. As for conventioneers, the few we've seen over the years are unfailingly polite. BTW, I've seen them at GF and the Poly too.
The so-called "Disney feeling" is a state of mind. When our flight lands at MCO, I'm automatically in the "Disney feeling" state of mind. Like anything else, your trip is what you make it.

We've stayed at both POR and CSR in the last year and my vote is for POR. It's a prettier resort to me, not quite as big as CSR and the theme is more "Disney" to me. When we stayed at POR last September it was pefect, there was nothing I would change (we didn't have any problems with the transportation). When we decided to go back this year I was really torn with trying a new hotel, or going back to POR since we loved it so much last year. DH talked me into trying something new so we decided on CSR. Once we got there, I was somewhat disappointed. It was big and spread out and not as pretty as POR. We didn't have any problems, room was clean, pool was great, we just prefer POR.

Our family stayed at CSR in 2006 and just got back from POR about 2 days ago. My DH could not believe that POR was not a Deluxe resort, he liked it that much more than CSR. Both resort are good but we like POR the best.
We were able to stay in the Mansions section, which is very quiet and beautiful architecture. :thumbsup2
POR has a More Romantic Charm about it more than CSR did.
We will be staying there again next Sept. 2008.
