Which moderate has the best pool?

Friends of ours are going to join us for our August trip to WDW. They usually stay at the value resorts but there is no availability for free dining. They had their choice of moderates. I believe they have CSR on hold but I know POR was an option and I think there was another too. Because it is August they care most about the pool. Which would you pick?

I believe CSR has the best pool. Someone on here has tons of CSR pool pics that can be found on his sig. I can't remember the screen name, but i'm sure he'll chime in soon or someone who knows who i'm referring to will provide you with his screen name.

Hello - first, let me admit that I have not actually stayed at any of the mods, but we are taking a dis vacation in August, too, and were considering one of them. Relatives who are meeting us there have booked in at CBR and have learned that the main pool there is going to be closed/under construction during our stay (early-mid August)...so you definitely want to communicate that to your friends. In fact, there is another thread on here which is keeping track of the construction with pics if you want to check it out. I'll leave it to the experts to sort out which of the others they think is your best option. Good luck - hope you all have a great trip!

We tried POR's pool a few times on our last trip. It was a really nice pool, with a very good water slide and was surrounded by some beautiful scenery as well. The changing/ locker room also had showers in it, and was located just past the pool bar.

We have been to POR and CSR. All the mod pools are good and they all have slides. We like the CSR pool the most for the theming.

We LOVE CSR and the pool, POR would be a close second ... CBR would be third ... didn't enjoy that resort pool much slide VERY small ... hot tub VERY small. Needless to say, we will be returning to CSR in August!

CBR is under renovation... we LOVED the pool at CSR!!!

POR has a nice pool, and you can also pool hop down to POFQ so it's like 2 pools in one.

Definitely CSR if they plan on spending time at the pool! Their pool and hot tub are huge and the slide is bigger than any of the others. If they have kids there is an arcade, playground and beach volleyball there also.

Once the new pool opens at CBR I think many will be staying there for the pool.

CSR hands down!! But CSR offers much more than a pool. The slide is the best also, there is a playground at the main pool area along with an arcade. They have a spa, salon, fitness center, wi fi, live entertainment, elevators in all the buildings and a full menu room service offereing.

I liked Coronado's pool area, I just wished that the hot tub had working jets.

We've stayed CSR twice and the jets were working fine both times. Maybe they were just down during your trip...? I love CSR pool and slide, but it really depends on the age of the kids. DS9 lived on that slide. DD4 went down once and hated it. If the kids are small, POFQ has a very kid friendly slide.

Coronado Springs has the best main pool area. As far as the age goes, it all depends on the kid. Our DD age 4 was afraid at first but once she tried it, she loved it.
