Hypothetical question as I'm only going to book when the fall discounts come out:

The rumor is that upcoming FD will only offer QSDP to Mods (and/or deluxes)... I'm wondering which MOD would you say has better Counter Service options? I've stayed at CSR before (actually out in Ranchos... so I know how big it is :lmao:) but I have no idea about POFQ and POR. I've heard that at Port Orleans you can take the boat over to DTD, which has some nice CS options too. Carribean Beach dosn't really interest me because if I'm going to upgrade to a MOD, I'd like to at least have the queen beds as we're a family of 4.

This wait for the next round of discounts is killing me! I just want to decide and book this trip!!!!!!

POR has create your own pasta. It was great, so many choices to make, u can add fresh veggies. It was awesome, one of my favorite QS at wdw

My suggestions as they always are going to lean to CSR heavily 1st...Then POR 2ndly

CSR to me just has the best of all there is to offer IMHO.

Best Pool
Best Bus service
Best TS
Best CS / Pepper Market
Best theming/rooms

I'd give that a try but maybe not so far out in the boondocks at the Ranchos this time..LoL:thumbsup2

Before basing a resort stay on their CS restaurants, decide how many meals you will actually be eating there. Will you eat many (or any) meals at the resort other than breakfast? We have found over the years that we rarely eat at the resort if we are staying at a mod, other than a couple of CS breakfasts. Or maybe a lunch on our arrival or departure day. In fact most of the time we find ourselves having breakfast in our room to save time as we get ready for the day.

Remember that you will only get 2 CS meals/day on the dining plan. So you'll still probably be paying OOP for one meal a day.

I suppose that what I'm trying to say is that people pick their resorts for many reasons, but IMO, there aren't sufficient differences in resort CS options to use that as a primary basis for selection. Unless, for some reason, you will be eating most of your meals at the resort, and not in the parks or DTD. :confused3
