Wow - I haven't been on the boards for a while - how exciting to be back!:D

OK - straight to the questions! I think I have talked my husband into taking me & our 2 girls to WDW for a mini-trip the day after Thanksgiving. (Fri Nov 26th - Wed Dec 1st). Question #1: Will the Christmas decorations be up by then? Question #2: I think this trip will be a moderate resort - which one has the best Christmas decorations?

Thanks!

To be honest, I've never stayed at any resort during x-mas but if you click on my CSR website below and scroll to the bottom, I have a link to ***********. Click it twice and there are x-mas pictures on their website of CSR.

We stayed at Coronado Springs this past Christmas and while it was beautiful I much preferred Port Orleans Riverside. (We had PS at Boatwright's Christmas Day.) I have to admit POR is my favorite of all the resorts so I am biased. =0)

We usually try to visit all of the resorts to see decorations on Christmas trips. The decorations start going up Thanksgiving week. Of the moderates, we liked decorations at Port Orleans - Riverside (Dixie Landings to us) the best. A lot of people bring decorations and hang them in the windows of their rooms as well. Very cute!!!

Have a good trip - wish we could make it this December....

I've stayed at both PO Riverside and PO French Quarter during the holidays and loved the decorations at both. I'd bet that all of them are equally beautiful, and personally would just choose the resort that appeals to me best since they will all be decorated.

I would also take the time to visit some of the deluxe resorts, whose decorations are even more spectaular!

Thanks for starting this thread! I was wondering the same thing. We're supposed to go in Dec. (as a "vacation from our vacation" in August with the ENTIRE family, lol) to celebrate dd's 5th birthday. We really want to stay at WL, but without an AP rate, finances won't allow it, so we were wondering about PO FQ also. If anyone else has any more info, please share!

Have only stayed in one moderate for Christmas - POR. They do not decorate the "room" buildings - just the main building. There is a beautiful tree in the main building rotunda. There are other decorations throughout the rest of the main building - mostly garland and wreaths. Very pretty!

If you can swing a little bit more you might want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge for Christmas - fantastic decorations! A HUGE tree in the lobby that greets you the moment you walk in. Little trees spread throughout the resort. Lovely wreaths. Very festive!

Animal Kingdom lodge is also festive and just a bit more than a moderate. Another beautiful tree in the lobby and other decorations spread throughout the resort.

Be sure to take your own decorations to decorate your room to make it more festive.
