Okay, I know I've been asking a lot of you guys lately, and I want to thank you for your help. I have a few more questions.

1) I'm trying to decide between POFQ, POR and CSR for August 08. My criteria include:
A) Looks inside the room and out- this is why I'm not considering CBR- too plain for me (I know, I'm shallow when it comes to vacations). I like pretty/interesting looking resorts. It's a good thing I don't think this way with people.
B) Transportation to parks- which has the fastest transportation to which parks? I'm probably gonna be heading to MK and Epcot the most- so they are the most important.
C) Customer service- basically if you've had any bad experiences with any of these please tell me.
D) Crowds, I have a social disorder and after a long day of dealing with crowds and noise in the parks I'd like a quiet place to come "home" to so I can rest.

I know the last 3 really cannot be predicted, but I'd apreciate any shared experience- good and bad- especially in early-mid August.

2) When should I book? (actually, I booked Pop Century- but will cancel as soon as I know I have a room at a moderate) I may not have access to the internet or phone service soon, so I think I should have things booked before then- especially considering I don't know how long I'll be incomunicado. Is there any penalty to booking and then not communicating for weeks or months (that means I won't be able to pay anything after initial deposits/payment)? If I pay everything up front, and then cancel more than 45 days before the vacation, does anyone know how much of the money I paid will be returned to me?

Thank you all again in advance,
-Alisa

CSR and as soon as you now. If your booking yourself, you don't have to wait.

CSR has the best transportation. It's not shared. CSR has great CM's and customer service. CSR also has the best pool/slide of all the mods.

Didn't care for the PO resorts at all and my trips were such that I won't go back. POFQ does not have a sit sown restaurant and the lines/queues for the buses are packed when returning from the parks. The food court has heat lamp food choices.

I LOVE POR! The grounds are gorgeous and it is very quiet and peaceful! Trying POFQ in Feb. - can't wait, it looks beautiful too! The rooms are very beautiful in both of the Port Orleans resorts too. I don't care for the look of the rooms at CSR.

Are you doing the DDP? Do you NEED ME?

If not would you consider swan/dolphin. if you are a teacher, nurse/dr, or work for governemtn you can get a rate that is very close to the moderates... BUT you get the bonus of being at the Epcot resorts... and theya re beautiful and not plain -- one of my favorite deluxe... the only thing is the DDP is not an option, and neither is ME... although you can get the mears shuttle for about $35 an adult... round trip...

I've only stayed at CSR, but I'm planning to give POFQ a try, so here's my take:

1.)
A. Looks outside the resort-I think all 3 are very pretty.
Looks inside the rooms-CSR, ugly, ugly furniture and decor. POR, AB side
rustic looking, not my taste. Mansion side, pretty furniture and decor.
POFQ, prettiest rooms of all 3 resorts, one reason I'm trying it.
B. Transportation-CSR had good bus service. POR/POFQ share (sometimes)
busses, but POFQ first on and first off. POFQ has its own bus for MK - if I
understand correctly.
C. Customer service-Had very rude CM's at CSR, mainly in gift shop. Can't
comment on CM's at POR/POFQ
D. Crowds-CSR is a convention hotel, so depending on what's going on there
could be large groups. That doesn't affect the whole resort, but the PM
sometimes has big crowds. We found the resort to be pretty quiet all in
all. Hope the same is true at POFQ!

2.) I would book ASAP to get what you want, but I'm not totally sure about
the cancellation policy, so I hate to guess.

I'll be excited to give POFQ a try even tho I haven't even booked yet! It
seems to get very high recommendations and reviews, whereas POR and
CSR are more mixed.

for a package deal, it is 45 days prior full refund of deposit and you do not have to pay it in full until the 45 day mark.

A) Looks inside the room and out- this is why I'm not considering CBR- too plain for me (I know, I'm shallow when it comes to vacations). I like pretty/interesting looking resorts. It's a good thing I don't think this way with people. the rooms are great! Very vibrant. Check out pics on my CSR website below.

B) Transportation to parks- which has the fastest transportation to which parks? I'm probably gonna be heading to MK and Epcot the most- so they are the most important. Best bus service of any of the WDW resorts. Not shared like the PO resorts. And being a convention resort keeps the pools and buses less crowded.

C) Customer service- basically if you've had any bad experiences with any of these please tell me. Great CM's that provide fantastic customer service.

D) Crowds, I have a social disorder and after a long day of dealing with crowds and noise in the parks I'd like a quiet place to come "home" to so I can rest. Again, being a convention resort keeps them busy doing work leaving the resort quiet and peaceful. Fewer kids too.

2) When should I book? Now
