Which Mod. resort is best for kids?

We were planning on staying at pop and upgrading to DDP from our free CS but now that i am plugging it into the computer it is a bit more to just book the moderate resorts instead!!! So now my question is which one is best for the kids?


What do you think about that desision...i think it would save us 200 bucks to stay at pop.

UPDATE: DH said he likes pop! LOL So i guess that is where we are staying...I like it too so i don't mind at all!

They all are good for kids, it just depends what type of theming you are looking for......

I would jump on each of the threads and take a look at what each one has to offer and then decide which theme works for you.

The pool area and theme of CBR seems very appropriate for kids, and is probably where I would consider staying if I had young kids.

Really, though, any of the mods would be great for kids. It is DISNEY, after all! I'd say choose whatever resort you think that YOU will like the best. The kids will love any one that you choose

ok! Thanks all...it looks like POFQ is not available the week we are going to be there...you think PORS is ok instead...it has higher reviews than the Caribbean resort

I would not worry so much about the reviews as everyone has a different experience/expectations. We have never stayed at the CBR only because of the smaller beds and the theme does not appeal to us; however, our oldest son stayed there and had no problems with the room or the buses. We have always stayed at the Coronado (CSR) with and without our kids and they LOVED the pool and slide. We would not hesitate to stay at POR-Riverside if the CSR were not available.

I would pick the theme that appeals to you the most.

With the ages of your kids, I would go to CBR. It's the only moderate with a zero entry pool. Plus it has an extra waterplay area with a pirate ship and little waterslides just for children under 48".

One of my friends is staying at CB with his young kids, mostly because they are the only Mod resort with a zero entry pool. However, they are the only one left that is all double beds. No thanks!

We like POR, especially if you get one of the new refurbed rooms with the queen bed Their pool is nice, even though it's nothing to spectacular. I believe that people say CSR usually has the best pool out of the mods. However, that resort is so spread out that takes a little bit away from it. We really didn't like the themeing at POFQ.

I think it all comes down to what "theme" appeals to you most. The Port Orleans resorts have, of course, a Southern/Louisiana theme. The Coronado Springs Resorts is more of a Southwest theme. The Caribbean Beach Resort has a beachy/tropical theme.

I agree with KatMark and would hesitate to rely simply on the negative posts regarding any of the moderate resorts. You're going to find lovers/haters of all of the Disney resorts.

We have never stayed at the CSR or the PO resorts but have stayed at the CBR and I would highly recommend it. The whole resort has a laid back, family friends feel to it. Not only does the resort have an awesome zero entry main pool and kids' play area, but each resort village has it's own quiet pool, beach and laundry facilities as well as a bus stop. We instantly fell in love with the resort 6 years ago and have gone back annually.
