I'm wanting opinions on which resort would have the best pool(s) for my two girls, ages 7 and 3. Deluxes are out of our range, so which mod or value fits the bill?

We'd love one with a slide, btw.

Well considering Values don't have slides I think that CSR has the best slide out of all the mods. As a matter of fact, we were there a couple of years ago and my dd 9 at the time, loved the pool slide so much now that we are adding 3 nights onto our land/sea package, I was looking into trying another resort but the pool there and hot tub are awesome and she's a water bug so I may end up going back to CSR. It seems like POFQ has a cute slide for younger kids and it's a colorfully themed pool, but for older kids, I think the CSR slide is better. IJMO though!

My kids really enjoyed the dragon pool at POFQ, which does have a slide!!
I didn't really care for the slide and pool at CBR, which was like a sand castle or something!
These are the only two I have used in either catagory! :goodvibes

The value pools have cute themes but no water slides. The moderates do have water slides at their main pools. You can check out the different pics of the pools here :

All the hotels are listed on the left of the page - just click the link for photos from each. They have pics of the pools.

Coronado Springs !!!!! The main pool is awesome !! Biggest and best pool and slide !! Great play area, hot tub, etc. I am sure your kids would love it !! Pop has nice shaped pools that have squirting flowers, etc. but no slides. Don't think the values have slides (anyone ???). ASMusic had nice themed pools too (Big piano and The Guitar Shaped Calypso pool). But Coronado takes first place and in more ways than pools - IMO !!

Another vote for Coronado Springs! The pool is huge, it has great theming, and the slide is quite a lot of fun. Plus, there's the huge hot tub for Mom & Dad!

Def. Caribbean Beach!! :sunny:

Subbing as I'm interested too. We're currently booked for POR but open for change :)

CSR for sure! The pool area has so much to offer and is our favorite of all of the moderates. Our kids like the beach areas and playground here also. Rent a surrey bike if you have a chance! You will not be disappointed in this resort!

jenr812, don't change your mind about POR. My DD11 loves the pool and slide of POR over the one at CSR. The POR one has more turns is like 2 S's in a row and she likes that better. Coronado is 160 ft. long with long straight sections. It's a matter of taste.

Enjoy,
Eric

eelvira, you have my curiousity piqued now :earboy2: Which POR slide has the twists and turns? Is it POFQ? We stayed at POR years ago when it was Dixie Landings and my dd who was 6 at the time loved the slide but now being 11 like your dd she is looking for the fastest slide of course. Any information would be greatly appreciated b/c I want to try a new resort but I keep thinking of the hot tub and slide at CSR. Help me change my mind so I can try a new resort please LOL

The twist and turns were at POR. I've only been there last year so I don't know if the slide was different when it was Dixie Landings. My DD is 11 and loves it. The one in POFQ is cute. It's the tongue of a Dragon but it just turns like an L. Better for smaller kids. POR was a great resort we liked it very, very much. I highly recommend it. Give it a try. :)

Yes thank you eelvira! I will try to find out if the slide is different from when it was Dixie Landings but even still my dd loved it then :sunny:

Coronado Springs has the best moderate resort pool...and maybe the best on property!

Yes CSR has a beautifully themed pool area and the slide was lots of fun!! That's why my dd wants to go back there and I'm soooo undecided whether or not to try something new or go back even though it's only for 4 days after our land/sea. Decisions, desions!!

I think for the ages of 7 and 3, POFQ would be better for them. The slide is shorter and not steep and the pool is very nicely themed. The slide at the CSR is longer and higher (the way it looks) and it might intimidate the little one. The slide at CBR looks short but steep. All the moderate resorts and value resorts have wading pool. I know whichever resort you choose, you and the kids will have a wonderful time!

Coronado Springs!! For a moderate resort they definitely have the best pool!!! The slide is great and it is a large pool. They have a kiddie pool off to one side and in another area is the jacuzzi. What is great for the kids too is right next to the pool area is a sanded playground with some swings so the kids can be where they want and they are in eyesight of the parents. The arcade room is also off the playground.
