I often read where fans of --I believe-- each of the MODS has referred to it as "deluxe-lite". I was wondering if anyone would give any details on why you think your favorite MOD is a notch above the rest (ASIDE from transportation issues!)
Thanks!

Now, I haven't stayed here - yet, but CS does have a much bigger room service menu and I consider that a plus of the deluxe resorts. Having the option to call room service at a moderate and order something besides salad and pizza will be nice. I hope that the other services make it seem deluxe-lite, also!

I would say the CSR is the only one that's even remotley comparable to a deluxe. It offers a limited room service menu (more than pizza delivery) has a few suites, and a fitness center.

I have stayed CS, and POFQ,AK, BC, POP,ASMu--CS was definately more like a deluxe.

I consider CSR Deluxe Lite. It has roughly the same amenities as WL, which I consider a low end deluxe.

Must be that CSR is a convention type resort also. That would explain the extra 'amenities'. But for us, it would have to be POR. We don't use room service or health club facilities at more upscale resorts. So those make no difference to us. But, the atmosphere and landscaping at POR 'do it' for us. We like the table service restuarant there. And the mansion section is very nice.

Because of their locations, I don't consider any of the Moderates to be Deluxe lite. I was booked at the Pop and didn't want to stay there, so I looked at all the Moderates, figuring one of them would be suitable, but none of them seemed to deliver enough to justify the huge increase in price over the Values. So I ended up choseing WL, which many consider to be a Deluxe lite.

I agree with goofy4tink and I have stayed at both. Despite the amenities and physical beauty, CSR felt (to me) like a rather sterile convention hotel without any Disney Magic but POR felt like Deluxe-Lite and we loved it there.

I am a fan of both POR and CSR but I feel that CSR is deluxe lite. Additionally, IMHO, I disagree with the above poster who stated CSR seems like another convention hotel - I felt the resort had plenty of Disney charm and I loved it when I thought I wouldn't. I consider it a deluxe lite because it does have the spa/fitness facility and larger room service menu. These are the things that you don't get at the other mods.

I have to agree that WL & AKL are really the deluxe-lites, but that said . . . out of the Disney-labeled mods, my vote for the most deluxe of the mods is POR. we stayed there last May and when we show people pictures, they cannpt get over the river, the flowers, and gazebos at POR.

we also enjoyed the quiet pools.
